It was actually kind of nice not to have to run after her while at the party. She is so subdued. She did have some cake, though. :)

Thanks, all. Someone needs to tell Zoe today that she is still sick. She has been all smiles and jumping around, but she still has a bad cough and runny nose. She finally went down for a nap a while ago. :p

"We love TV. We love TV shows. We love TV characters. Well, for the most part. Unfortunately there are some characters on TV—on shows we like, on shows we hate—that are just so freaking annoying. Characters who make us groan every time they show up, who make us throw things (soft things) at the television set, who make us, however briefly, consider not watching the show at all. Because it's the holidays and our cold, Grinch-like hearts are extra black this time of year, and because everyone's doing top 10 lists right now, we decided to make a list of the top 10 most annoying characters on television."
- Jason Huebel
from Bookmarklet
You see that right. Bill Compton came in at #3 on the list. True Blood fans may begin their rants below.
- Jason Huebel
No... I agree, Bill the vampire is pretty annoying.
- Adrian
Nope. This list is made of fail just for including Abby. Abby isn't snarky. I think that Garcia woman from Criminal Minds should take her place on this list.
- Yolanda
LOL. I'm a True Blod fan, but I agree, too.
- Jason Huebel
ok don't watch most of these shows, but they have no clue on NCIS Abby is cool and so is Ducky (aka Illya Kuryakin from the Man from U.N.C.L.E) is great
- Kim Landwehr
I don't think Abby is annoying at all. I like her.
- Dawn
Of all the shows on the list that I've seen, I disagree with almost all of them...Compton on the other hand can lick a plate.
- Joe Pierce
+2, one for yolanda, and the other for dawn. without abbey, there's no me watching ncis, ;)
- chaz2b
love abby....most of the shows I don't watch........
- VAL D. Zone
I disagree with Mark from FlashForward though - it's not too interesting but certainly it's not annoying!
- See-ming Lee 李思明 SML
*baresfangs* Sukeh's MINE!!! *superleap... crunch*
- Adrian
How many times have we seen this scene now?
- Adrian
NCIS is one show that I _don't_ understand why anyone likes it and why it remains on tv.com's top list. It's *so* boring. For detective episodic drama, Castle + Bones + Numb3rs all top it by miles. It just sucks: all the characters are annoying! :)
- See-ming Lee 李思明 SML
You did that wrong. Bill Compton speaks in all caps, all the time. SUKEH IS MINE!
- Jason Huebel
What was his rank in the Confederate Army? CAPtain
- Adrian
see-ming lee, i watch ncis for (1) it often comes here (not irl, but the story says there here, here being my hometown, Virginia Beach, VA), (2) ABBEY, & (3) Mark Harmon
- chaz2b
Jesse Pinkman and Skyler White on Breaking Bad! Hopefully only Jesse for next season (fingers crossed)
- Adrian
Good lord, that gutless writer couldn't even sign his own bi-line. That is such meanly written article. It's not even interesting, just a bunch of ad hominem attacks and no reason given for no liking the characters.
- Matthew DeVries
adian, shh, but ithink mad men is done & over, :(
- chaz2b
I agree, lame, but then again you could probably find a really annoying character on just about every show ever aired (except the A-Team of course)
- Adrian
My husband likes to tell me that Abby reminds him of me when we first met/got together. I guess that means I was "annoying" when I was 17? Also, I agree with Brian. Horatio Caine cannot be watched without much mocking and laughter. That dude's a complete tool.
- Jenny R.
Regarding Horatio Caine. It's not just the character that's a tool-- its David Caruso. I /really/ dislike him. Always have.
- Jason Huebel
Come to think of it Mac Taylor (Gary Sinese) is almost as cloying/annoying. Maybe it is a requirement for CSI?
- Brian Sullivan
I really like Gary Sinese, though. I stopped watching any of the CSI's years ago.
- Jason Huebel
from IM
True Blood guy should be #1 just for how he says, "Sookay"
- sofarsoShawn
LOL, definitely. Although you have to admit that as much as his character annoys you, you can't help but copy his manner of speech sometimes.
- Jason Huebel
from IM
I love all the CSIs ..........I like the orginal one better with Grissom
- VAL D. Zone
Drink a shot every time Horatio Caine does the sunglasses. It's what keeps the show on the air. That and the super-saturated scenery pron.
- m9m, Crone of FriendFeed
A shot every time? -- boy you must be in great shape by the end of the program ;-)
- Brian Sullivan
"Abby is the rah-rah Conservative's idea of what a snarky Liberal should sound like." SPOT ON.
- rowlikeagirl
I like Bill Compton, but agree that Fiennes is undercast and overplayed in the FlashForward. It's hard to tell if it's just his character, though, always serious and always pained. The least favorite role in the last year or so goes, hands down, to Juliet in Lost. The sandwich-making, precious Juliet, in too-tight button downs and botox face.
- anna sauce
GAWD. David Caruso is such a giant douchebag. :-D Ever time he has one of his little one-liners, he puts his sunglasses on and puts his hands on his hips. I've only ever seen one episode of this show and this reaffirms my belief that I never want to watch it again.
- Jason Huebel
Same here... didn't make it through the episode though. That video makes me laugh every time though. :D
- Adrian
I don't think Abby deserves to be on that list. She's a caricature, sure, but at least she has something resembling an individual personality, which is more than can be said for most of the other characters. And how can a top ten most annoying list not have David Caruso on it?
- John (a.k.a. dendroica)
Jack from lost makes me want to pull my hair out and anyone in the Petrelli clan too
- RAPatton
Why do I get the feeling that a woman wrote the last part of the Entourage paragraph where it's compared to Sex and the City? Her bitter sexist bias kind of shows through a little bit there.
- Akiva Moskovitz
I agree with Trueblood's Bill, but I love Barney... he is kinda annoying but in a fun endearing way and the show would not be as good without him. He provides a good balance. #1 on my list would be a tie between Glee's Terry Schuester (wife of will) and Glee's Sue Silvester (cheerleading coach) The show would be so much better without them.
- Rachel Lea Fox
Oddly, I like Jack from Lost. He does not bug me and I find his "Jack-isms" comically entertaining. Especially the crying.
- Adrian
Nothing I was particularly up-in-arms about on that list. I completely and utterly agree with the idea that Horatio Caine should be top of the annoying list though.
- Amy
Adrian that was great the H one liners...........I needed that laugh so bad......thanks
- VAL D. Zone
ABBY ANNOYING!!!! NO!!!! Abby is one of my favorite characters. I <3 Abby.
- Mol, Santa Claws
Hehe you're welcome. Yeah... it starts off innocently enough, then never lets up... for 7 minutes! It is great.
- Adrian
I didn't understand why NCIS was so popular until a few months ago. At that point, I had seen all of the reruns of Bones and Law & Order that were playing on basic cable, so I switched over to NCIS on USA. Once I watched a few eps, I was hooked. I think it's a great show with a lot of humor. I don't find Abby annoying at all; in fact, I'd say people that do think Abby is annoying are...
- Curtiss Grymala
Adrian, thanks for posting that link. I couldn't even make it through half of the one-liners, but it totally reaffirmed why I think David Caruso is such a douche.
- Jenny R.
BTW, Abby reminds me (physically anyway) of an edgy Rene Russo. Are they related somehow?
- Jason Huebel
Abby is AWESOME. I'm not sure how much credence to give the rest of the list after that. There is nothing at all annoying about Abby. I want her to be my best friend.
- Jandy, ConcertMaven of FF
"A community of ‘candid’ photographers of men in public situations (all of whom have paid for their accounts in good faith) has been displaced and silenced on photo-sharing site Flickr in less than a fortnight. Four prominent photostreams as well as countless photos vanished from July 6th 2009 to July 13th 2009 without warning or right to appeal. At least one site had over a million hits in less than a year. Flickr has stubbornly refused to give a reason for its recent axe-grinding mission against these sites, but one user was given the reason ‘voyeur content’ after more than 8 days of asking for a reason yet that particular site contained pictures of men in public which is legal. Flickr has refused to expand on the reason it gave, but cited its ambiguous and open-ended ‘Don’t be creepy’ clause in its Terms of Service asjustification for terminating at least one photostream. Flickr has also silenced debate about the issue on its Help Forum. When confronted with whether or nor the...

- Thomas Hawk
Good! Flickr is out of control. They should not be allowed to delete a paying customer's photo or photostream without notifying the customer of the "problem" and giving them a chance to correct/explain the situation. It's just bad business. Flickr is a great site, but the negatives are slowly chipping away at the positives.
- Rob LaRosa
Yeah, Flickr is pretty out of control. I think I'll be letting my membership expire and using only Pbase from now on.
- Todd Walker
Wow. How do I move all of my photos from flickr? I suppose I'll have to find somewhere new to put them.
- joey
I think it sort of sucks that I post a link to blog specifically about account deletions to a Flickr Help forum thread specifically account deletions and get banned from the public forum. The Flickr is Fascist blog is not mine, I was merely reporting on it.
- Thomas Hawk
Looks like it's time to abandon Flickr to Mussolini. And then kick it in the head.
- James (!?)
Uh oh. You've been put on the naughty step.
- Simon Wicks
Seems like the more we rely on web services the more of our rights we inadvertently give up. With web services being bought, sold, discontinued, or the arbitrary rules that they invoke, we are more and more at the mercy of whim of the site owner. It seems like it is time for some sort of universal user bill of rights that defines a minimum level of service we should expect and defines guidelines for disputes between users and service providers.
- Jeff P. Henderson
Well Thomas, as the CEO of a competitor to Flickr, it was only a matter of time before they tired of your "crusades" and troublemaking. (regardless of how worthwhile they are, and they are)
- Robert Kenney
I have kept my photos on Flickr, because that is where my family goes to, but I also have them on Zooomr, really not happy with Flickr
- Kim Landwehr
This is clearly a signal that Flickr is on the move. To be spun-off, sold, etc. As part of preparations for this, they have been given a mandate to clean-up the site of "less desirable" content to make it more marketable to a buyer.
- Robert Kenney
What are the best alternatives to Flickr?
- Johnny
Johnny, that depends on what you want from the site. If you want a community, then Flickr is probably the best. If you just want a place to host your photos or sell your work. there are plenty of other options. Here are several that come to mind. Zooomr, Smugmug, Picassa, Snapfish.
- Jeff P. Henderson
Robert Kenney: Thomas has been a critic of flickr, but he's also an advocate and user of flickr, in addition to being a competitor. The photo sharing biz is funny that way.
- Bruce Lewis
from fftogo
i also don't like the fact that Flickr staff refers to me as "abusive" before kicking me out of the forum. My criticism has always been respectful. Simply because someone criticizes you does not make them "abusive" that's such a loaded almost libelous term. I resent that Flickr would call me abusive and then lock me out of the forum where I can't defend myself against that accusation.
- Thomas Hawk
Flickr is not a democracy, as they remind all of us again and again.
- Robert Kenney
Robert, but users should be able to expect a certain level of civility and recourse that you expect, (and is often required by law) when doing business with a brick and mortar establishment.
- Jeff P. Henderson
the anti flickr blog by the way has moved and I honestly have absolutely zero to do with this new anti flickr blog. I was simply reporting on it after the authors of the blog (who I do not know who they are) pointed it out to me. http://saynotoflickr.blogspot.com
- Thomas Hawk
I've been arguing against arbitrary account deletions and censorship there pretty passionately for a while. Especially lately as the account deletions seem to have escalated (and especially anything associated with or male gay related). I suppose they don't like being criticized for their deletion decisions, but personally I think labeling me as "abusive" for it and censoring me is yet another bad tact for them to take.
- Thomas Hawk
don't like flickr's problems? put your pix somewhere else. It's a website, not a national government; it's not fascist.
- Chieze Okoye
Most of the time those being deleted have no platform to object and so they turn to the only public avenue that they know the help forum. I like sticking up for the little guy, especially when he/she's in the right. It is frustrating though feeling like you are banging your head against the wall with Flickr who just seem frankly not to care one bit about the criticism or even ever address their censorship choosing to simply lock any thread objecting to it.
- Thomas Hawk
no, Chieze, it's not just a "website," any more than FriendFeed is just a "website." It's a community. That's always been what's made it special. It's just too bad that those overseeing the community don't feel that they need to have respect for it.
- Thomas Hawk
My contention is that Friendfeed *is* just a website, though. It's kinda nice when they get stuff right, and kinda bad when they get stuff wrong, but at the end of the day, it's just a tool. Is your tool breaking or acting up? Try to fix it within your capacity (writing blogs sometimes works when you're not part of the development itself, but bandying about hyperbole like calling a website fascist usually doesn't) or just move to the next tool that will work reliably the way you want.
- Chieze Okoye
There's a huge audience that you only reach through Flickr. There's no "next tool" to reach that many.
- Bruce Lewis
Chieze, I didn't call Flickr fascist. I simply reported on the fact that *somebody else* started a blog called that. I pretty much report on everything that's related to flickr that I come across. I'm not sure why I should have been banned simply for reporting on it. We'll have to disagree on both Flickr and FriendFeed merely being "websites." I hold to my contention that they are far, far, more than just "websites," that they are very significant hubs for communities, both of them in fact.
- Thomas Hawk
The thing that bugs me most about the way Flickr deals with things is that they delete and/or block, giving the accused no avenue for recourse. If they want to accuse me of having photos on the site that aren't mine, that's fine, but don't take down the evidence. They should have to leave the pics up there and prove to me that they are right. How could I do that after my pictures have...
- Kenton
Oh, Thomas, I realize that you weren't calling it fascist, I didn't mean to make it seem like I was conflating you with this blog's behavior. Sorry about that. We will have to agree to disagree about the tool/website thing, I guess. I'm not an avid Flickr user, so I don't have that passion (but I am an avid Friendfeeder, at least by my personal standards, and I still think the way I do...
- Chieze Okoye
Also, @Bruce, at this point, no one should be surprised with Flickr's behavior. Yes there's great audience, but it's not like there NO OTHER photo sharing site that has a community of people you can connect with. Continuing my tool metaphor, it would be like if you had the world's best hammer, but that hammer had poisonous spikes on the handle. For some people who need it or really want...
- Chieze Okoye
Chieze, I'm well aware there are other photo sharing sites. I run one. But for photographers with a professional interest in getting noticed, Flickr is not optional.
- Bruce Lewis
Saying there are options to Flickr is like saying there are options to Windows. Sure, technically there are but not may people use them.
- ChiliMac
Yeah, Flickr isn't optional if you want to build a brand/reputation or just get noticed. Which sucks, because I'd have dumped my account there in protest a while ago if that wasn't the case. What's idiotic is that I can't even fathom a reason for these absurd censorship policies. How difficult can it be to implement an holding pen for violating accounts and a review process before they pull that delete trigger?
- Eric P
posted your blog post separately See-ming. http://friendfeed.com/thomash... Ironicly, posting about this "Flickr is Fascist" blog is what got me indefinitely banned from the Flickr Help forum. I think that they are pretty pissed off about it. At least pissed off enough to ban me over merely mentioning it publicly.
- Thomas Hawk
@TH Thanks! I was not going to post it until I realize recently that it is happening to a lot of my gay friends - including some who cannot post to my groups anymore because they are having the same problem, which is very sad.
- See-ming Lee 李思明 SML
As someone who has, quite unfairly, had their name featured several times in the Flickr is Fascist Blog, and who knows who the perpetrator is I can understand why Flickr would want to protect it’s users in this way. The person behind it not only has a malicious personal vendetta against certain people on the site but also promotes the censorship, deletion and suspension of other peoples...

I flip through the TiVo menu all the time, but haven't actually flipped channels since we got cable menus. That was probably late 90s.
- Rochelle
I surf the menu, unless I'm watching on a TV without cable (or shitty cable, like at the family cottage in NH). My mom, grandma, and (surprisingly) my best friend still go through the channels the "old fashioned way".
- Penguin It's Cold Outside
Sometimes I do it in hopes something will magically appear, hasn't happen yet but I believe in hope
- Kim Landwehr
I find that with most TiVos/cable boxes there's too much of a delay between channels to make channel surfing "work." You seem to waste 5 seconds waiting for the new channel's signal to appear. (That, and our current boxes seem to have this odd hiccough where sometimes they won't update the onscreen info properly when you do a bunch of turning the channel...every 2nd channel doesn't seem to update the info at all.)

Yeah, Squier was 80's...it was 1985 when my cousin threw his album out the window at my ex-boyfriend, when she found out he was only dating me to be around her. (I had borrowed the album from him and he showed up at the house to collect his stuff)
- April Russo (app103)
It wouldn't be an 80's list without Nichole's pa. Just about 65% of Lionel Richie's 80's work would do, especially "Endless Love" and "Truly."

Please don't hand the organist sheet music for your favorite pop tune. I know that's not what you mean Alex, but people actually do that, according to an organist friend. OTOH, it would be amusing to see how well they could render White Wedding.

I see it on mine now, and realize I have not been ReTweeted, yet.

yes, since nov 10 - the retweet feature was temporarily disabled last week but it's finally back!

Yeah, I too got a punch of erecting self-esteem when found that I was A Chosen One Among Others )) being a beta-tester for a new Twitter feature. And now seriously - good idea, and good implementation. Everything is done stylish, keeping minimalistic Twitter spirit. As for me personally, RT timilines will be my must-read Twi-parts from now on as I find there a lot of interesting and useful links or ideas I would surely miss without this feature.
- massagin
Have it but doesn't appear to function if viewing tweets within a list.
- Dana Fosburgh
Have #NewRTs back on as well, still don't like them -> http://bit.ly/wTX4b I'll have to make a mock-up of what the feature should have looked like.
- Alex Schleber
it does-but im not sure why they didnt let us make comments- thats the good stuff
- Elizabeth Beskin
Elizabeth: I disagree. If Twitter had comments it would be like Facebook or FriendFeed. It would also get very noisy very quickly and one thing I like about Twitter is that I control everything that appears in my streams. Adding comments would change that radically.
- Robert Scoble
Are you guys missing the part where it says you're getting 12 boxes for $43.99? It's not one box for that price.
- Rochelle
I think it's 6 boxes with 2 microwavable bags per pack? $43.99 for 6 boxes is like, over $7 a box. It's o_O to me since I pay about $1 a pound for kernels out of the bulk bins at the co-op.
- Alix Whitmire
Thank you Rochelle... I am missing that part. I've been trying to figure out how many actual boxes are in the order. I'm getting old, you know.
- Yolanda
My friend was telling me she loves this stuff and she can't find it at her grocery story anymore. Her birthday is coming up so I thought I would buy her a couple boxes. 12 seems a bit much. :)

I think that calling a presentation a "preso" is grounds for a good old fashioned punch in the jaw. Thats gotta be in the law books somewhere.
- Joe Pierce
ugh. preso. that's right up there with friggin' "webinar"
- holly
Never heard of it before, but it ranks up there on the lame meter with 'frisco' as an abbreviation for San Francisco.
- Jeff P. Henderson
I've never cared for using Prego as an abbreviation for spaghetti sauce
- Davis Freeberg
I've never heard "preso" for "presentation" only for 'press conferences' and only then when we were setting one up. We also used 'presser' and the younger *girls* used 'pressie'.
- Admiral Anika
Looks like the first half of the George Bush version of the word.
- Paul Puri
I do ! plus i also cant stand some colleagues who are from across the pond calling it preeesentation when it really should be presentation
- viki saigal
I can understand using it on Twitter, where characters are so precious. Would hate hearing it spoken though. Nasty.
- Laura Norvig
Doco? Who the heck says that? Doc is the correct abbreviation for documentation.
- Alex Scoble
from IM
I don't even know about this lingo until you mentioned it here. My opinion: dislike!
- See-ming Lee 李思明 SML
I'm with Alex on 'Doc' versus doco, although I do like (and use - please don't hate me, or if you do, do it right) deets for details, as in 'send me the deets on the shindig, so I know where to go.'
- Cassandra
Sometimes when I talk to people like that, I make up abbreviations just to throw them off. i.e. DNL for "do not like"
- ha3rvey, not a sweetheart
Never heard it before, hope never again. Awful.
- Lo
"Preso"? First time I've heard that abbreviation. When I say it out loud, it sounds really stupid.
- Jason Huebel
Never heard it before.....think I'd laugh if I did....
- Bonnie Foster
Laura is on to something.. I have mostly seen it used since Twitter and by users
- Holly Rae, FFer
I've written it, and most likely, mostly on Twitter. I don't think I actually say it though. I do think it would sound lame. God, I hope I don't say it.
- Lynne d Johnson
Marco, YES. I was going to mention that too. decks/slidedecks - no.
- holly
Ohh you guys would hate living in Australia :)
- Mo Kargas
Meeeeeee! Also convo for conversation. I don't mind deck for PowerPoint. I don't know that I'd understand deets for details, and i'm aware that probably I'm the only one who uses capes for capabilities.
- MaryB, BrandingBroadOfFF
Never heard it ... must be one of those 'west coast' things ... :)
- Charlie Anzman
Here's how it goes: docu (for documentary) slide deck (for preso) cap (for capability) 'za (for pizza)
- Jim Norris
You could make a crisp hundo for making a decent preso.
- Josh Haley
I don't even like the real word pesto, let alone preso (for the record).
- Micah Wittman
from iPhone
P.S. I despise "totes" also. Really? You can't spare 2 more syllables or 2 more characters to say "totally" (which, itself, is a desecration of the English language) ...?
- Laura Norvig
And the part where it says, "You can not change information on CD-ROM disc" explains the odd conversation I had with the old lab tech who said my kid was fighting him on that. She doesn't understand the difference between CD types, but she has seen us reuse CDs to store info, back when we did that.
- Admiral Anika
John, she was 5 at the times, so no, she doesn't know the term CD-RW. She just knows we've used CDs to copy information to them. The old lab tech, was telling her that while she was correct, he was just reading what was on the poster. But this is all moot now because the new lab tech was telling me that she keeps hounding him to get a card reader so she can bring in her SD cards.
- Admiral Anika
And apparently, I managed to sit down at one of the handful of computers in the whole room that had a mouse without a scroll wheel. It was weird having to move the mouse up to the top of the screen to go back.
- Admiral Anika
I had that computer in fact I still have the monitor from it
- Kim Landwehr
That computer pretty much matches my previous computer, except my old one had a CD-RW drive along with a CD-ROM. ... Anika, I had gotten the impression that it was the lab tech who was confused, not your daughter. :-)
- John (a.k.a. dendroica)

It's okay, he's got a Catch-22 now. Steven Perez isn't a Bunneh, so long as he doesn't respond. And we all know he refutes his Bunneh status.

I think friendfeed only put the extra "Add comment" link at the bottom of threads because of this specific thread. It took me a full 20 seconds to scroll from one end of it to the other.
- Slappy Line
hmm... 800+ comments on this thread, and this is my first, and probably last comment on this thread. I wonder should I read all the comments, or just post?
- Mike Nencetti
Are you guys still trying to win?

23 years from now, Steven will still check his MSGoogle MyFriendFace feed every morning so he can respond to this post with 3,137,783 comments...

After half a month there must have been moment you thought it would not be a real big deal if you eventually should NOT have the last word, I suppose?
- Ruud van Wijngaarden
Now that you've nearly reached 1100 comments, I realized that I hadn't officially "liked" this yet! Error rectified, though you're clearly a comment whore, you show great panache while doing so!
- Mark "DerBingle" J
Ohhh, you mean that place, which is totally faked by a #viciousbunneh who was in cahoots with the government in taking all the alfalfa plants into an underground hidden bunker.
- Tsali, The Native of FF
I will allow you to have the last word. But to take that last word you are surrendering your honor to a den of sightless whores.
- ‘-.-’ Tutivillus Grift
Eventually, the whole thread will go backwards to the beginning.
- WorldofHiglet
That sounds like more fun than I imagine you wanted it to.

It was a test. Honor is pride. A den of sightless whores is merely an event that you will carry forever. You have attained the 7th level of enlightenment.
- ‘-.-’ Tutivillus Grift
Considering that this thread has only been around since August, and has been shut down for the last two months, that's not too bad.

2012 is just the begining of the 13th Baktun, the long cont calendar doesn't actually run out until sometimes after 4772, that is of course if you stick with only Baktuns and don't use the other 4 higher counts, I just think FF will end in 4217 on planet Tersanzar :)
- Tsali, The Native of FF
Ah, right thread. In that thread, it's asked what you think you smell like. In this thread, I told you what I think you smell like.

I think this has lasted long enough. We already know what has to be the last word, it's already in the original quote. I will put it as the closing comment. I think we will all feel relieved we can now carry on to do greater things. For ourselves, our loved ones and the world.
- Ruud van Wijngaarden
The symmetry of a game where Cutler throws a career high 5 INTs and breaks Alex Smith's 7 game losing streak is just too precious.
- Daniel J. Pritchett
Yea, the Denver coach is looking pretty smart right about now.
- Kim Landwehr
Hey now, he passed for more than 300 yards. :)
- Louis Gray
And to be fair, only two... or maybe three... were due to really horrible decision making on his part in situations where he never should've thrown the ball.
- Ken Sheppardson
I am not a parrot, which is what retweeting is without comments
- Kim Landwehr
I may go to that as well. I tried out the new button last night, and not only could I not add comments, but it also didn't show up in Friend Feed or on FB, which it usually does.
- Janet Sommer
I apologize in advance and retroactively for offending anyone with my opinions/rantings/facts about consumer electronics. I calls them as I sees them, don't pull punches and have very little tact when talking about the subject...Also you should know that I'm hella argumentative (although if you don't already know this, where have you been hiding?)
Have we ever wanted an apology from you for your opinion...Well me no...I always look forward to your opinion..
- Bill Heslin
I'm definitely not offended, in fact I was thinking of asking your advice next time I'm buying consumer electronics :D
- Mo Kargas
Heh yeah, Mo, I think this is more coming from the dustup with jcunwired that I had this week, although he can't read it because we've blocked each other...Then again he's still wrong, so maybe this isn't for him either :)
- Alex Scoble
from IM
Bah, don't understand why people always get offended when opinions collide, for me it's a learning experience
- Mo Kargas
But yeah, if you ever want advice, you know where to reach me
- Alex Scoble
I think with him he was more annoyed that I seem to have a "following" when my observations completely clashed with his worldview. And why I'm still talking about it, is a mystery to me...still working out the funk from that thread I guess.
- Alex Scoble
You've got pretty discriminating tastes and the $ to act on 'em. If I wanna know the tiniest imperfections of a particular display tech I know who to talk to: Alex :). Not offended at all
- LANjackal
Well, for what it's worth, reviews with no voice + no opinions are boring. Ranting is good! Kudos!
- See-ming Lee 李思明 SML
LE, I also help people on a budget too at least with the web research part...I'd love to have more experiental knowledge, but it's very difficult and time consuming to do that...not to mention expensive to do it well and I haven't won the lottery yet :)
- Alex Scoble

And the blogs and what not that are set up to review a lot of sets seem to lose focus because of who's paying their bills. I understand wanting to make money, however, when it causes you to not disclose all issues with a product, that's bad. You might as well not review anything at that point, because you have no credibility after that.
- Alex Scoble
Like I said before, you should be the @garyvee of consumer electronics. There's a niche.
- Steve
Hehe, well any consumer electronics companies can feel free to send me stuff to review, they should just expect to get the bitter with the sweet.
- Alex Scoble
from IM
No clue what this is about, but that's never stopped me before. Never offended by an intelligent opinion being express, besides with Scoble as a last name expressing an opinion is a given

I'll send you some of mine. We get hundreds.
- Trish R
from iPhone
Yay! That's a long walk for them but they'll end up with a lot of candy ;)
- joey
We just got one witch :) Trish, where are you that you end up with so many?
- Kamilah Gill
I haven't had any yet. The kids in the area (there aren't many) might be past the age of going door-to-door.
- Katy S
We've been getting a lot more the past few years. There was a time only around 10-15 came to the door.
- Rodfather
We never had any when I was growing up because my family and the kids next door were pretty much it for our street and the area was hard to navigate. Our complex now has some kids in it but is kind of not very child-friendly, so I bet most of the kids will go to the neighbourhood right next to us, which definitely is. We're also in a weird area of the complex. I have my Halloween lights up outside so hopefully they'll spot my unit and come by because I have candy for them that I certainly don't want to eat.
- joey
Rodfather, that's really exciting to me. Haha.
- joey
The kids need an app for this... WhereIsTheCandy.com?? Though, sadly, I guess such a thing could be abused :(
- Kamilah Gill
Kamilah, I live in a small town near Houston on a street that decorates and holds a hayride every year. It's fun.
- Trish R
from iPhone
Yeah we never get any trick of treater either, been years.
- Kim Landwehr
I rarely ever got trick-or-treaters till I made them a haunted house.
- Rachel Lea Fox
It's true. If you build it, they will come. We got 427 people this Halloween.
- Kevin Fox
I'll also start to follow anyone who I'm not following too but I might need some of your to follow me back as I'm near my limit already and can only add a small batch of you at a time. :-)
- Kol Tregaskes
Thanks for the include on the list - that was very cool to see this morning.
- Dan Morrill AKA Techwag
No worries, Dan. I'm sure I've missed loads. Adding people all the time.
- Kol Tregaskes
OK, I've followed you all from this list. Keep letting me know who I've missed out?
