Right you are, and she has a good source for the stats too. But the numbers aren't coming from the finance person directly. They're infinitely more suspect coming from this lady, who clearly has a bone to pick with Palin. Which, evidently, looks like it's been stewing for some time. Most of her digs are petty, but the one about Palin getting help in the form of an administrator to help run this town of 5,000 is quite telling about Palin's leadership qualities and real level of "executive experience." - Pete Delucchi

I could go on, and on, about this one. I have not read Mashables post from last night, but I did read this one, and it's dead-on accurate. Several months ago GigaOM hosted a conference about cloud computing. Many of those attending thought they were going to learn about this "new thing". One of speakers started by saying " I have been doing this for over 12 Years". It's not new, its just catching on, and I think its wonderful. What I don't like , are these buzz words. For example, has anybody noticed how everything is being labeled Semantic, for Web 3.0? Wait, I just got my new Chrome 2.0 browser yesterday! Now, your telling me, I might need a new one. I don't think so. If they can get all the computers or even a handful of them talking to each other in the next couple of years, I'll be shocked. As I recall Larry Ellison, was a huge supporter of the "Thin Client", movement too. I think you get the point. Besides, I had to look up the word Semantic, when I first heard it, and they want to name the Web after - Michael Fidler

I'm in the tank for Obama - but listened to her speech with an open mind. I am *not* a party guy. And I can't believe how stocked with cheap sarcasm and condescension her speech was, and a few points seemed starkly dishonest (energy independence, bridge to nowhere, etc.). I also can understand their effort to make her "look normal" but, well, it's all so cynical. And the terrorism shit - well, fodder for the ignorant, to be sure. - Anthony Citrano
