As for telling people that I am pregnant, I basically waited until I was visibly pregnant to tell "everybody". We waited until after the heartbeat was detected to tell the family. I was not overly concerned about how I would be treated while pregnant vs. while not pregnant because people barely interact with me in person either way. My social sphere is pretty insignificant. I would have held off telling people for as long as possible if I felt like people would fuss over it too much. So far, no-one is going overboard. Folks here on FF probably also notice that I rarely bring up being pregnant. I'm fortunate that I have few of the usual pregnancy problems. I feel very normal most of the time. - Kamilah Reed (K.
