Ray Marr
would you say that losing your virginity was like Heaven on Earth?
Negative - embee
No. More like hurried, awkward, and constantly worried about my Dad deciding the football game was boring and checking up on what I was up to with my girlfriend at the time. Later on we had good sex, but that first time was nicht so gut. - Neal Jansons
Hell ass no. I don't even remember his name. :( - Derrick
...better times were had after the first time... - JA Castillo (جاسون)
It's an interesting view what some would call their first time, that phrase "That the first time is like heaven and earth," can speak alot of a person or at the very least their views, I appreciate you offering your insight in what would otherwise be to taboo so keep em coming, views make things interesting. - Ray Marr
What you thought it would be like and how it was, how very different was it? - Ray Marr
errrrrr . . . no - Lindsey is Fierce!
No. Made me wonder why everyone made such a big deal about it. - Trish R
Heaven on Earth would be bewildering...so yes, it was something like that. - Kamath (नमः)
purgatory.... - Live4Emma (L4S)
Wasn't bad, wasn't great. Lucky for me she knew what she was doing. - MVB
I'm still a virgin. - Akiva Moskovitz
The first kiss - maybe. The first time having sex with *any* partner is unlikely to be Heaven on Earth, unless you're very comfortable with each other and both have a great sense of humor for the inevitable awkwardnesses. - Ladybug Heather
@Akiva <cough>bullshit!<cough> - Ladybug Heather
No, but really what exactly is "heaven on earth"? Anyway, as to your second query @Ray, I'm going to generalize, but I suspect the difference would be less for men than women. - Kenton
Definitely not. - Sir Slippy of Slippington
As I understand it the actual act of penetration is what takes you off the virgin market, although there are views that masturbation can have that effect on you but they are false, the official medical defintioni at least one concept was found at http://yourtotalhealth.ivillage.com/sex-can... so really considering that does it skew your definition? - Ray Marr
errrrr, can't remember....30 seconds goes by so quickly - sofarsoShawn
@kentonsmith that does hold true as they are both two different dynamics. So in that sense perhaps the definition is skewed from one to the other. And when/if it happened was it how you hoped? - Ray Marr
It wasn't Heaven on Earth... more like a mixed sense of "well, at least that's finally done with" and "hmm, I hope this gets better later" and "guess I'm going to hell now since we're not married." (I was brought up in a pretty repressed environment with a major religious guilt trip). Oh, and there was also a bit of wonder/disgust at the male anatomy, which I had not seen up close that many times previously... - Lindsay is :)
@lindsay thanks for offering the view, it is interesting to note how many individual may of survived a similar repressed childhood. So in your view it was just to get it done the hell with the specifics? I wonder how many saw that first time though as something it could not be, even if they wanted it to be. The idea of the perfect moment to lose it, does such a thing truly exist? Or it is only that pre programming that is at play? - Ray Marr
@trish On that point, where do you think that came from, the idea that it was such a big thing, Television, movies or something else? - Ray Marr
Ooooh, definitely nowhere close to heaven on anything. A lot of tedious sticky fumbling on his part, and I mostly just lay there thinking "Well. I guess this is it. Huh." The TV was on and I remember Muhammed Ali's 50th birthday special was on. TV was muted. I just kind of stared at that until it was over. I think we were both just like "OK let's get this initial act over with and then we can worry about making it good later..." - tinypants (Amanda H)
No it wasn't. - Daryl Burns
@Ray - to elaborate, I wouldn't say it wasn't special... but just not an earth-shaking type of event. And there was so much guilt around it that that took away some of the enjoyment. Once that "hurdle" was over with things were better. That cloud wasn't looming anymore so we could relax, take our time, and have more fun with it. - Lindsay is :)
I think for me (it was a long time ago now...yikes) the before feeling was "I can't believe this is actually going to happen" and the after feeling was something like "that was pretty good, I think I'll have to try it again sometime". - Kenton
It was nice to be that close to someone I loved. But it was also Awkward and there was a moment of "This is what all the fuss is about?" But got much better soon enough. - Abby Martin
No. - Rahsheen ™
More like "Oh, god, It's like trying to parallel park." I still can't parallel park. - Nine hates realtime.
@lindsay so you saw it as a cloud over your head interesting, and post coital a level of relief, that cloud was that like fear or what would consider it? @abby so in the experience, a simple act but on the other side a springboard to new levels or exploration? - Ray Marr
@nine parallel park huh haha very interesting. - Ray Marr
I was twenty-one and she was twenty-eight, so it actually went fairly smoothly. But she was married and I wasn't that into her, so it was kinda "meh" overall. Based on what others have experienced, though, I figure I hit the lottery. - Roger Benningfield
I was 18, she was 112. I told her I loved her, and she told me to speak up. I put on a condom, she put on an oxygen mask. - Sir Slippy of Slippington
I would like to dissociate myself from the previous comment, which was not written by me at all, but by some demon which probably posessed my hands or something. - Sir Slippy of Slippington
No. - David Cook
slippy lane hahaha damn those demons, must of figured it would of been very interesting. 112 I do believe that would be a record though figure something might break :) - Ray Marr
