@MarkADyson Had I not planned my own wedding once upon a time I would be useless though.
I just did my own makeup even though I don't normally wear makeup. *gasp*
Also something may seem cheap but if you have to do it yourself it will cost more in time and effort.
I think planning the wedding is the first example of how you will work together as husband and wife. Pay close attention.
When planning a wedding (and prob anything else) outsource as much of the minutiae as possible. It gives time to think about bigger things.

Also don't be afraid to say what you want. Others will certainly try to highjack the wedding and bring drama. Be firm.
Ask for help when you need it. If you seem like everything is under control no one will offer nor will they know you need help.
