The first selfie ever was taken in 1839 - http://mashable.com/2014...
The first selfie ever was taken in 1839
In October or November 1839, one Robert Cornelius, then 30 years old, set up his camera at the back of his father's shop in Philadelphia (below), removed the lens cap, ran into the frame and sat stock still for five minutes before running back and replacing the lens cap. In so doing, he had created what is believed to be the first photographic self-portrait. Cornelius' father was a Dutch immigrant and had been a silversmith before opening a lamp manufacturing company. He sent his son to a private school, where Robert developed an interest in chemistry. After leaving school, Robert worked for his father specializing in silver plating and metal polishing. He made a silver daguerrotype plate for the photographer Joseph Saxton; this sparked his interest in the very new field of photography. Read more... Pizza Rolls ad or PSA for drugs? You decide.
Comedians and Cinco employees Tim and Eric have made the strongest case for Totino's Pizza Rolls that we've ever seen. The duo created a real, weird-as-hell advertisement for Totino's that's in the same comfort zone of their previous commercials. There's abnormally loud crunching, the occasional break of the fourth wall to scream at someone off-screen, the strange man playing a guitar that's been added in post — it all stews together to make a solid advertisement about a classic American snack. Tim and Eric are like Don Draper and Roger Sterling in the darkest, weirdest timeline. Thunderbolt is the flagship interface on Apple computers. It’s an interface that’s codeveloped by Apple and Intel and heavily outperforms even USB 3.0. With the amazing bandwidth and opportunity for daisy-chaining, it’s Thunderbolt that deserves all the spotlight. The recent arrival of the Microsoft Band caught many by surprise; not because it's the latest tech company entering the incredibly popular fitness-tracker space but because so little was leaked about it ahead of time.
