A Monkey's good memory and his ability to adapt are two of his most prized possessions. He is intelligent and stoic, able to pick new trades up quickly and easily. Monkeys are also able to do all the work in half the time it takes someone else, but will charge you double what someone else would charge. As such, Monkeys generally take occupations in the world of finance, such as banking, stock exchange or accounting. - AmiN007110

Hmm @fogofire is looking for a CMS for a large website. Drupal? Anyone else have suggestions? Answer @fogofire
Drupal for the win! (Yes, I'm a bit of a fanboy. :-) - Chris, Taskerrific Guy
Sharepoint. LOL. *dead* - Akiva Moskovitz
WordPress :-) - andy brudtkuhl
Drupal if you want or may need every bell and whistle under the sun. WordPress if you want simplicity. - rob friedman
Joomla or just use straight-up Wordpress and use the pages functionality for the homepage, that is what I am planning to do with a new site that I am building - Lou Paglia
Heard some good things about expression engine as well but if you are going to go with a heavier solution, I would go Joomla or Drupal - Lou Paglia
WTF, Akiva? LOL! :D - Chris, Taskerrific Guy
I just let @fogofire know @corey_smith from http://tributemedia.com does really good work in drupal. - Ken Stewart | ChangeForge
Absolutely Drupal, Joomla is too rigid IMHO. Drupal's a CMF, changing the sites direction in the future isn't a chore, and modular development is always nice and cost effective. - Mo Kargas
+1 rob friedman - jojo, adventurer
Agree w/ Rob and sub. Drupal or Wordpress, depending on complexity. - Ken Kennedy
He should build a custom CMS. - Nicholas James
It's interesting that only opinions are offered so far, yet not a single question. Like,"Robert, what do you mean by large website?" It's hilarious how many kneejerks there are out there. Or, was that your point in chumming the waters? - Craig Johnson
I think our point is that these CMS solutions are customizable to a wide range of needs, there, Craig. - jojo, adventurer
I would rate Drupal fair, Geeklog, Joomla, Mambo might be possibilities. - rob
How big and what type of site? What functionality is needed? Any special features wanted? What is it to be run on - LAMPP or IIS ...? Do they code or have access to people who can customise? Hard to recommend the best tool for the job when theres no info about what the "job" is! - Elpie
CMS drupal / joomla, if u need java Documentum, jive may be - abhishek manocha
Our Division is launching SiteCore CMS - I am just started the infrastructure build out for this at our data center. We'll use it to manage Petersons.com (tons of web properties for this group) and CollegeandUniversity.net site changes in later 2009 - Susan Beebe
@Craig; The CMS solutions can handle large or small websites. From experience with some of the ones mentioned by others I know they can handle large-scale websites, although I'd recommend a custom CMS as it will be able to facilitate the needs of the client without having to edit it to get it to what the client desired. - Nicholas James

Anyone successfully install the new Google App Engine Java plugins for Eclipse? I'm stuck at 84% download of the jar in my Ganymede env. I bet their update site is getting hammered right now.
Just killed eclipse. Trying again. - Brian Daniel Eisenberg
4% ... GwAA.jar - Brian Daniel Eisenberg
Doesn't sound ready for primetime :( - Bwana ☠
I am hoping its just their update site getting hammered right now. - Brian Daniel Eisenberg
Made it to 84% before I quit (after letting it go for maybe 20 min). Most other plugins I add/update don't take that long. I'll try to be a little more patient this time. I wonder how long it will take me to figure out how to deploy our servlet and war framework crap on appengine. I bet its not going to be that hard. We already run inside Jetty, Tomcat, WebSphere, WebLogic, etc. This has got to be easier than porting to WebSphere. - Brian Daniel Eisenberg
Slowly going as I can see, as you said. Hammered. - ElijahBailey-Zu of FF <0,
I'm still stuck at 30%. Should have let the first one go to completion. - Brian Daniel Eisenberg
Were you successful installing? - Dipesh Khakhkhar
yup me stuck too, how did you get that then? - abhishek manocha
