Google seems really desperate. YouTubevertorials, AdSense for Flash games and now text ads in maps. - Kerem Ozkan
Did you read my post in Webrazzi? I want you to add this one too in W. comments.http://www.webrazzi.com/2008/1... - Erhan Erdogan
Gracias Kerem ; ) I appreciate great. - Erhan Erdogan
I don't see this as desperate at all. It is a logical evolution to put those ads there. How did you think they were intending to pay for the service? We get so much free on the web we sometimes forget that typically there has been a value assigned to everything offline and more and more of the online world now too. - Roger Kondrat
Google’s stocks are going down like a rocket in the last two weeks. They need to stop this trend so they are basically counterattacking the stock crisis. We are living the biggest economic crisis of our time and I assume every company especially the ones that are publicly trading are really desperate in these days and so does Google. This crisis has showed us that Google is not the company which is immune to any economic shocks. They are closely tied to the global economy and we are having really tough times. They need to increase their cash flow and find new ways to generate more revenue. - Kerem Ozkan
I would say again Kerem what you presume about Google is incorrect. Also their stock is going down because the market place itself is in a downward trend. Their cash flow is very good and they will likely outperform the market place over the next 12-24 months so I question your logic here. Not trying to be argumentative by the way :) - Roger Kondrat

I think this is a strange move from Hakia. I really don’t understand how manually selecting the sites to search for fits to a semantic search engine. - Kerem Ozkan via Bookmarklet
