And it's who he considers a tech authority, which my also come under a different definition and categorization than your own. technically, when you see "this tweet was posted from FriendFeed" next to the Tweet, that should be marketing enough. At the same time, the link could be added value when there's a conversation going on, and those are usually better in FriendFeed. It's a tough situation, for sure. In the end, it's a limitation of Twitter more (by not allowing for embedded links for example) than FriendFeed (even though that has something of the same limitation) - Vincent van Wylick

Its about people linking to their site as a pass through to another site e.g. Twitter - FF - Info. That has been on the hate list for years. It became popular once on Digg when guys there made clips on their blog & then submitted to Digg. This practice hurt relationships with your potential customer because it is irritating. FWIW, I've been publishing my FriendFeed to Twitter since Friday, I haven't had any complaints, I've gotten some positive feedback, and I still have the same number of followers I did on Friday. So I'd say FF's behavior is having no negative impact on my Twitter experience, or that of the people following me.
