It wasn't as terrible as I thought it'd be. It was full of the self-referential jokes and bad puns from the series, and the cameos weren't bad.
- Haggis (Sean Loyless)
Was that the one out a few years back (early 2000s, maybe)? I liked that movie, from the perspective of someone who had not seen the original series.

"This recipe goes out to all of you chocolate lovers—don’t say I never did anything for you. This chocolate and caramel tart has provided me with a bit of an adventure, nerd-style. You may recognize it from the cover of the current issue of Saveur which features it as part of a story on the beloved Marlow & Sons in Brooklyn. The tart looks beautiful, but I first come across the recipe a while back in Diner Journal, the quarterly culinary publication by the folks that own Diner and Marlow & Sons. If you haven’t already checked out Diner Journal, please do. It is such a beautiful publication, beautiful and inspiring. And if you haven’t already eaten at Marlow & Sons and Diner—do."

Bought some of these today. They're pretty good, but now I discovered why they're 100 calories a pack. There's maybe 3 or 4 chocolate-covered pretzels in the whole package.
A very strange coincidence that I am literally eating those right now. Each pack I eat, I do the math in my head: 100 + 100 + 100 = oh my. I've eaten too many. hehe
- Steven (optionshiftk)
Steven: Hahaha. They're good, just not enough of them in that bag.
- Trish R
My fave 100 cal packs are the Cheese Nips, Nutter Butters, and Stella D'Oros.
- Krista K
At first I read that as "Stella d'Oreos". :)
- Spidra Webster
I bought some of the chex mix ones, too, but haven't tried them yet.
- Trish R
I have the Chex Mix one and had some earlier today. There is hardly anything in the packet, though. It's annoying.
- Rochelle
I know, I bought some "bodywise" museli bars which were like 3x0.5 inches
- Bryce Roney
It's not low-calorie food. It's just a measure of what it takes to get up to 100 calories.
- Spidra Webster
Yeah, seems like it would be cheaper to buy a big bag of chocolate-covered pretzels and a box of those little Ziploc snack bags and divide them up yourself.
- Trish R
It's almost always cheaper to buy the regular size and portion it yourself. I can think of a few exceptions when I had coupons for 100-calorie packs but usually, those are overpriced.
- Morton Fox
My grandma (in St. Louis) loves this place. It's the fallback whenever nobody feels like cooking. Probably has something to do with the heart disease in the family...
- Jason Wehmhoener
i think i'd eat the chili and some sides. i've only had one fast food burger in my life because they're so awful
- Krista K
Sounds like Krista K's never been to Red Mill.
- Akiva Moskovitz
Uhh. I think she doesn't realize that burgers exist outside of McDonalds.
- Rochelle
That I have not. I eat burgers at restaurants on occasion. Around me we only have bk, wendys, mcdonalds, and white castle.
- Krista K
actually, not too many strike me. of the ones you posted, i think I like Kate Winslet the most.
- edythe
also, Adele looks like Hillary Duff in her portrait and I thought Julia Roberts was Kyra Sedgewick at first... Now that I know the bearded dude is Joaquin Phoenix, I like that one. :)

it's obviously your fault your apartment doesn't have service, just like it's my airport express that doesn't work because it's apple when my motorola cable modem is the thing getting no signal. oh corporate.

i have. i tried to take it apart and clean it but it still won't scroll up. maybe a replacement would help it...

The picture was awesome. But ... you know you're a giant geek when you're bugged by the sentence about sensors in the suit overheating... optical mocap is done with passive reflectors on the suit; all the electronics are external.

"awesome. But ... optical mocap is done with passive reflectors on the suit; all the electronics are external" THIS QUOTE is exhibit A as to why the court has ruled that the FriendFeed community rocks. Case closed.

such as? I mean, i'm not expecting the best movie going experience of all time, but I am generally looking foward to ridiculously stylized eye candy... the trailers haven't dissapointed me, yet....

i'm not a fan of that Malin lady. she's been such an awful actor in everything i've seen with her.

"Anthony Bourdain is the acerbic host of No Reservations on the Travel Channel. His rise to fame can be attributed to Kitchen Confidential, his book exploring the seamy underworld of the restaurant industry. Since then he has written two more books, and has served as a guest judge on Top Chef. Bourdain chatted with us from his home in New York, having just returned from filming in our neighbor to the north, Baltimore, for his "Rust Belt" episode. We discussed the D.C. episode (which he taped back in July), his plans for the future, the awfulness of a particular TV show, and his advice to Obama. The Washington D.C. episode of No Reservations will air tonight on the Travel Channel at 10 p.m., with reruns at 11 p.m. and 2 a.m."

Right on! Make sure to vlog about it. I had no idea that pickle juice had such a following - there are lots of recipes and cocktails on the interwebs. And here's something for your fall calendar: http://www.nyfoodmuseum.org/_phome...
- Caffeinated Sue
Full of pickletassium which we've only just learned is very important for expectant mothers.
- Christopher Harley
No way!!! MY mouth is watering just thinking of this. I need to get some of these asap.
- Miranda
For some reason, this actually sounds interesting. I also drink pickle juice. I don't know why people get grossed out over that. It tastes good. :P
- Molly, "sorry"
Pickle pop tasting? Make sure to get a non-biased group...ones that like pickles and ones that don't....I'd be in the don't category....You guys ate Bacon Chocolate.....so pickle pops HAD to be the next thing? huh? lol. so funny...can't wait for the SvLog!
- dafire
Told my sister about this...now she wants to try it. lol.
- dafire
Steve! have you had the deep fried pickle spears at Heartland Brewery?! yum! :)
- Krista K
Krista- Not there, but I've tried the fried pickle slices at some other places - yum.
- Steve Isaacs
i could do pickle juice, but only in quick bursts. like shots of pickle juice for instance. suckin on a pickle pop might be aight. why does that pickle in the photo have a mexican hat and a moustache though? hot pepper pickle javier, eh?

More Drama. Flavor of love wasn't as good the second time around.
- Jonathan.Rivera
I have to watch it....but I can't take another season of Mr. Bandanna and super sluts/super gross females. Hm....more entertaining: Flava Flav or Rock of Love?! Maybe someone else will get a name tattoo. name = loooove <3
- Krista K
just wanted to add that this really makes me want to vomit. i can't tolerate it anymore!
- Krista K
it seems quite a few younger women do. i can't see why (perhaps cause i'm not a woman), but i find that fascinating
- Cee Bee
i haven't met another who does...though my friend kind of understood it when we went to see him in AC in october. it required such restraint to not make an ass out of myself when it was the Q&A session. surprisingly all women were behaved, and the men were being creepy haha
- Krista K
oh, and it's definitely the guys who question why girls like him.

"Dexter is an American television drama series based on the novel Darkly Dreaming Dexter by Jeff Lindsay and adapted for television by Emmy Award-winning screenwriter James Manos, Jr., who wrote the pilot episode. oh i LOVE it. due to lack of showtime in my home, i purchased seasons 1 and 2 and am waiting to get 3. my friend and i have been watching the seasons once a week. SOOOOOO GOOOOOOD!!!! must get showtime prior to season 4!!!!!!

Oh, if my daughter did something like that, I would have to mercilessly mock her. I'd have a jar filled with suggestions. Or I'd Photoshop words into her picture.

- Igor The Troll יִצְחָק
sorry, just my opinion, but generally, i think all tats are dumb. your mileage may vary. each human body is a work of art. why do you need some failed michaelangelo to use YOUR SKIN as a sketchpad? meh.
- .LAG liked that
show me a tat that was supposed to be art. i'll show you nothing but bad ink, but again, it's in the eye of the beholder. which brings up another question i have about tats: if tattoos are 'art' to the tatto-ee, but you can't see it, what's the point. for example, the so-called 'tramp stamp.' if you get one, you literally can't see it. how is it art if you can behold the masterpiece? you could just as easily NOT get a tramp stamp and imagine you had one, no?
- .LAG liked that
Clive Owen in Closer; Ed Norton in The Painted Veil; early Gary Oldman. A kooky list, I know.
- Donna Mugavero
Christian Slater, Hard Harry Hardon, Pump up the Volume.. reminds me so much of podcasting. That is if I had to pick another male. For pure comedy value it'd have to be Pee Wee Herman! ;P
- alphaxion
I know this is television, but House.

Robert Downey Jr. Tony Stark. Iron Man.

Taye Diggs in How Stella Got her Groove Back & Matthew McConaughey in Contact.

My wife really is in love with House, too. I don't get it.
- Bret Taylor
+1 Abby. I love just about all the male leads on TB. Lafayette in the gold thong, FTW.
- Derrick
Oh yeah, Jack Shepard from Lost. I'm loving that action too.
- Derrick
Sayid is hot, but conflicted, and his taste in women (the whiner) kinda sucked. OK: Edward Norton's character in the Painted Veil: huzzah!
- anna sauce
Ew, none of the guys in Lost. Well, Jin got hot once his hair grew out. Curly-headed Koreans FTW!
- Admiral Anika
Matt Damon in Good Will Hunting, and if we're talking Lost I'm going to say a probably unpopular one -- Charlie Pace.
- heather ♥s fauns on mars.
King Namor, the Sub-Mariner. Just think how agile and strong he must be; unlike regular human males, this guy has THREE ways of getting around: swimming, flying (with tiny wings on his ankles, even), AND walking...and he does all three well! And being a comic book character, you know they draw him very well-formed!
- MiniMage TKDteacher of FF
Gary Oldman, Sirius Black, Harry Potter's Azkaban ;) From Lost I teeter between Sawyer and Jack. Sawyer's a bad boy with a heart of gold but Jack is a doctor with a dark side....

There's nothing better than a funny movie made by serious filmmakers. Lucky me... got to see this one at an early screening for Twitter users :-)

Yeah, a lot of people slagged it off to me, but I thought this was a lot of fun. It's no "Raising Arizona" or "Hudsucker Proxy"...but few movies are.

it's totally NOT how you'd picture these actors to act in a movie. they're great.
- Krista K
Definitely felt this flick brought the Coen Bros. back into their element (i.e. Fargo and Lebowski).
