"I get the multiple choice trickery/leading you down a path, but what blew me away was seeing the entire fat deck shrink right in front of my face, then he throws the entire deck on the table so that we could examine the cards... insane..."

"We're having some performance issues w/user icons on story list pages ( please see: http://digg.com/d316gUN ), icons will remain on the permalink pages and we hope to have a technical solution for list pages soon. Thanks for understanding as we continue to work on performance/scaling. (Also, see justjeninsf's note above)"

"Daniel hates it when I introduce him as "the guy that created the yellow digg button", but what I'm really trying to say is that he's the man that transformed my crappy designs into something useable and beautiful. It's been a great 4+yrs working together, you've taught me a lot -- wish you nothing but the best brother. ..and to Jeffrey, get ready for a ride, we have some big products in the pipeline!"

"The reason this is so difficult from a product standpoint is that we are getting mixed feedback, there are diggers that love it and some that don't. Help us out, reply to this message w/feature suggestions/constructive feedback. Default options, opt-in, new features to make it more useful, other ideas?? We're still gathering feedback from everyone and will make changes based on that. This site works because of all of you, thanks all."

"Thanks for the feedback, I had the questions on the laptop, but yes, could have had them printed out... and RELAX?? It's f'ing Trent Reznor, kinda hard to relax. : )"

"To expand on what Jay said, from the product side of the house we're extremely focused on fixing what we've got (better duple detection, promotion, story suggest etc.) and working on new features to help you promote/share the content you care about with others. 2009 will be a great year of innovation at Digg, with quite a packed product pipeline. That said, I also want to thank the folks leaving us today for all their hard work. We're a family here at Digg, so losing friends is never easy. I'd gladly work with you guys again anytime."

"I just want to thank all of those that posted constructive suggestions on the recent homepage stories. We're going through it all now. Anton and his team have some great changes coming. Rest assured, we know there are issues and are working on them. Thank you."

"Over the last four years I've developed a thick skin when reading comments re: Digg - but I'm saddened by what I read in this thread. Not personally upset, but disappointed in the tone taken towards the staff here at Digg. We have 70 or so engineers, designers, project managers, and business development/marketing folks that work 50-60hr weeks trying to create a better site for everyone. Does Digg have issues with promotion/diversity? Of course, we always have, and it's something that we have a team constantly tweaking/evolving to stay ahead of gaming. While we don't respond to every comment thread, do know that we read them - and your _constructive_ suggestions do make it into our project roadmap. While you're waiting for us to release fixes and new features, do what I do, digg the stuff you like, and bury the stuff you don't like. And, don't take life so seriously, it's just the internet."

"Dugg - but the article was lame. Bagged tea is the worst, often times collected my machines. Learn more about tea: http://www.youtube.com/watch... (quality loose tea) Happy holidays all."

"You should visit Amsterdam. It's really a beautiful, friendly, clean, and peaceful city. Even if you did get lost, you just ask someone."
