fun times. paid $750 to have someone take a drill to my mouth. another sign I'm getting old: crown replacement
@miketaylr thx for the suggestion. I think I'll wait until I have something else to add as well, but already changed it in my fork.
@joshuaclayton thx for the support. wish I could have replied to comments on that commit, but github is eating my comments.
For the record, committed http://github.com/jquery... to align jQuery core with its own Style Guidelines: http://docs.jquery.com/JQuery_...
Frustrated that none of my attempts to comment on a GitHub commit have succeeded.
@getify have you tried delete? window.foo = 'hello'; delete foo; // gone
@jamespadolsey thx for thecomment on that jQuery commit. Surprised that other guy thought curly braces were *less* readable.
@paularmstrong hmmm. probably for code modularity? not so good to have core.js rely on ajax.js?
yowza! jQuery.require is looking hot! http://github.com/jquery...
@Nosredna Yeah, I like seasons, too. I just wish winter were a much shorter one around here.
@reybango haha! I like that name, but def. agree w/ @getify. We'd be contrubuting to the crime of java/javascript conflation
@danjamesceo thx for the link!
@reybango Oh, Rey! Always so quick with the weather gloating, aren't you? ;-)
Thx to @nbryan for the "blizzard" answer (35 mph winds + 500ft visibility). Congrats for being less lazy than I am (a dubious honor).
I wonder how meteorologists define "blizzard." Maybe visibility is a factor? 3-5" hardly seems blizzardy, but it does look bad out there.
@rexrainey heh. I guess I'm sort of a masochist. and I really like this place. :)
woke up 4am, drove through snow, sat in plane during de-icing and runway plowing, missed connection in DTW. still got to work by noon. fun!
@alexanderkahn I like to do the training through @ideafoundry. They're awesome.
@buildinternet hey, cool. nice area!
@trippstowe excellent! glad to hear it.
@syktek ha! Sorry, I'm in Bristol, CT. :)
prepping for day 2 of jQuery training at ESPN. Yesterday was great. Hoping for more of the same today.
@Nosredna ha! I was going to suggest ||= too! Love that one.
Well, that's much better. Etherpad to stay online until open-sourced. http://etherpad.com/ep...
@brandonkelly I had a whole day with EE tag parsing order shenanigans this week. Most unpleasant.
@bennadel sometimes I go for hours with headphones on / music off.
Totally sucks that etherpad is going to be swallowed up by Google wave. :(
.@jeremypratte Etherpad - real-time collab. editing. no login required. with sidebar "chat." beautifully simple. Google bought, shut down
Is it just me, or is the google homepage loading much more slowly since they did that silly fade-in thing?
@michinois awesome! "Crzy B9 LOL of ME!" love it.
