(My second tab in the screenshot is embarrassing though, heh)
- ɯɥøq sɐɯoɥʇ
Install it for Firefox first, then traverse trough your Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles/[obscure string]/extensions/feedly@devHD/content/app and just run safari.htm :) The image base href needs fixing though. Feedly will officially launch for Safari at a later time, but until then you can bookmark this local file.
- ɯɥøq sɐɯoɥʇ
@thbo nice! see http://bit.ly/3W7GV on how to get the pictures right. We should be able to push something a little less alpha next week.
- Edwin Khodabakchian
Interesting. I think I'll wait for the official version, which I can't wait for. The only reason I open up Firefox now is for Feedly.
- James Hull
Update: we just pushed out patch 2.0a.016. Next time you restart firefox, the safari.htm file will be updated to a new version which should have a fix to the image issue. Back and email are still not implemented yet though.
- Edwin Khodabakchian
@edwk Understanding that it´s pre-alpha I´m just noting that sharing articles to Friendfeed or Tumblr don´t seem to work even though I´m logged in both in Firefox and Safari. And Safari keyboard shortcuts like cmd+t for a new tab is overridden by feedly at the moment (refresh).
- ɯɥøq sɐɯoɥʇ
I'm sure you figured out the different wasy to take a screen shot Thomas... but i still recommend Skitch for OSX.
- Frankie Warren
Thomas...Thanks for the feedback. Will look into these during the week end. Please let us know if you run into any other issues.
- Edwin Khodabakchian
That second tab isn't embarrassing. A tab that said "Britney Spears Sex Video" - THAT would be embarrassing.
- Spidra Webster
@cecily this is most likely because you are running 2.0a or 2.x. safari.htm is available in the 2.x version which is available on www.feedly.com

It makes sense to create a document and to collaborate with other group members or to create a calendar and share it with your group. Google blog announced that the integration is already available. "As an example, imagine you're organizing a local intramural softball team tournament. You use Google Docs to keep track of the rosters for each team as well as each team's performance. You want all the players, but only the players, to have editing access. You already have a Google Group set up with the tournament participants, so you simply share the spreadsheet with the group itself, granting the group members permission to edit.""

But what if I don't want to see other people's themes? There's a reason I avoid doing that on Twitter. Can we make our theme the default at all times?
- Anika
ah, I figured as much there would be a setting, thanks Kevin! :P
- Tim Hoeck
Thank you, LE. It wouldn't have killed me to check that first, but I'm super tired.
- Anika
Robert: If you change your theme's background color to black (even though it won't display because of hte tiling) the links will turn white.
- Kevin Fox
Robert, that's too much green monster for me. ;-)
- Kol Tregaskes
to your guys' credit you make it pretty hard to make this as hideous as you can make Gmail

@ Chris ..well, how about to make this personal themes showing through an option? /quick button, no need to go to settings - that'd be too far :] .. option for viewer, not for author
- pb:
Ok so I'm shooting ducks here. is that part of the custom pages open to all?
- BairdWilliamson
I'm sorry, but this is the lamest thing FF has done (besides sell to Facebook, perhaps). This should not be default, especially when there's a theme that sends a duck flying across pages distracting you from reading them (it's like 1997 all over again). The only upside is that you can turn it off. It's a neat gimmick the first time, but after that it's just lame and becomes a...

I'm sorry, Tanath, but I 100.000% disagree with you. Don't like it? Turn it off. Me? I love it.

Already have - but it shouldn't be default behaviour.
- Tanath
Why not? I bet more people love it than hate it.
- Stephen Mack
Look, I'm excited that FF is still being worked on too, but this is arguably a step in the wrong direction. There's reasons why MySpace is going down the toilet, and different themes on every page is one of them. I'm inclined to take that bet, just not at this early point because it's mostly die-hard FF addicts that even know of the feature's existence.
- Tanath
As long you guys don't f*** with it, I can't see a problem. Why should FF staff avoid a feature only fearing its possible misuse? I'd rather see an option inside FF to explicitly hide user themes, if they get disturbing.
- David Schmidt
On or off, I can't see any themes on friendfeed except what I have in my browser's usercontent.css file. It would have been nice to include an "advanced user" feature that could have allowed us to enter in our own custom CSS for designing our own theme, sort of like how LiveJournal allows. That would have not only allowed customizing on friendfeed, it would also fix the problem with...

- April
David: you can hide other people's themes in your settings (top right of the page)
- Bret Taylor
Comparisons to MySpace seem off, since custom themes involve only four possibilities (background image, background color, bar color and box color) -- no widgets, no custom HTML, etc. And first and foremost, they can be switched off. How many times do you visit someone else's page on FF anyway? Most of the time is in your home feed or different lists. I just don't get the negativity, when it's a fun and optional feature that you can opt out from ever seeing again in about two seconds.
- Stephen Mack
I don't know if I consider customizing a few basic settings is really a "Theme".
- Steve de Mena
The correct analogy is to twitter.com user pages, right?
- Stephen Mack
Stephen, that was our thinking internally, though we also give a bit more control with the checkboxes.
- Kevin Fox
Forcing themes on others is bad. This needs an opt out. Glad I use custom CSS.
- Michael W. May
Michael: It DOES have an opt out. If you don't like it please opt out! Click Settings in upper right, you'll see two prominent check boxes regarding theme display.
- Stephen Mack
Kevin: Thanks! You're right, you did twitter one better by letting people opt out of seeing customized themes entirely.
- Stephen Mack
Michael, just uncheck the "See other people's themes" checkbox under settings and you won't see anyone else's theme.
- Dan Hsiao
Stephen's right. Read Bret's comment further up: "[Y]ou can do that by clicking "Settings" and then un-check the "See other people's themes" checkbox" - Bret Taylor

- Winston Teo
Winston: yes. I've been waiting for this for a long time. It lets me put some personality onto my home page and that is, believe it or not, important. Very important for brands, too, if this is going to become a business.
- Robert Scoble

I changed my background, but how do I let others see? when I click Bret's page, I still see my own background...I assume this is similar to twitter's custom theme where every user has a different background when their link is clicked. Hi Paul, thanks for the assurances. In the future, I would highly suggest that you make this sort of statement shortly after the initial merger release. Thanks again.
- Scoble, Alex Scoble
I would like to give you a hug right now Paul. However, that would be awkward and April might beat me up so I will just say thank you and press the like button.
- EricaJoy
Thank you for affirming that. Much appreciated.
- Karoli
A few more points that would be nice to have addressed soon. Ability to export data, tool to import friends to Facebook, and will ff.im urls continue to function?
- Mark Krynsky
Those that like friendfeed as is should be most pleased with this statement, as it probably means maintenance to keep the current system as is, without as much attention to new features. It's also good news for all those who like both friendfeed and facebook, as facebook will likely adopt the better features from friendfeed
- Ivan Kirigin
Thanks for making FriendFeed what it is, and lets hope it stays that way, though there's slim chance of that
- Aaman (Clone of FF)
Now that I think about it: are you kidding me? They've already stated that FriendFeed's going to be absorbed into Facebook. What kind of sleight-of-hand are you trying to pull now, Paul?
- Akiva
@EricaJoy: I have nothing against hugs. :)
- April Buchheit
Thanks, Paul. I've been getting more and more depressed thinking about the bad ways this could go. The reassurances help a bit, at least. In fact, just hearing you speak on the point is encouraging - the open lines of communication between the FriendFeed team and its users has always been one of the great things about FriendFeed that I'm afraid will be lost with the Facebook buyout. And yes, a FFundercats appearance would be a great idea.
- Jandy
I don't want to read too much into this reassurance but the "personal best" remark made me think like there is not a united FF anymore and that it's up to your personal efforts to prevent it from being eaten by FB :)
- Turker Keskinpala
you can sell the tech but the community can not be bought sold transferred or merged

Turker, I do believe that this deal was the right decision -- I'll write a bit more about that when I get a chance. I say that I'll do my "personal best" because I will -- it would be misleading to make promises on other's behalf :)
- Paul Buchheit
Paul: I'm hopeful that this will be the best for both Facebook and Friendfeed. What you and the staff at FF have done is amazing, with only 12 people! I love the service here. I also enjoy Facebook (one I ignore all quizzes and stupid apps), but in a different way. Hoping some coolness can be brought to both. Good luck to you and your team!

- Ton Zijp
Don't know what to say, so lets start with big congrats! from one hand, as an early member of Friendfeed I think we've created here a very cool, collaborative and tech-savvy/passionate community of great people that all probably wish to stick around as much as possible. From the other hand, I know how corporates work and it takes one small decision of share holders to close Friendfeed...

- Nir Ben Yona
My first reaction is disappointment. I don't believe big corporations do better than small ones. Facebook is inferior to FriendFeed, although it's user base is much larger. Clearly FriendFeed won't survive in the long term, unless it is open sourced. Why not open up and embrace the wonders of the GPL instead of joining forces with the Walled Garden no #1? Facebook don't even operate with permalinks,.
- Morten Blaabjerg
Thanks for the explanation Paul. Of course, I congratulate you guys. I think anyone would do the same thing if they were in your shoes :)
- Turker Keskinpala
Thank you - but I would very much like our content to stay intact. :)
- Mona Nomura
Ryo: if you delete your account everything goes away. I totally disagree with you about Facebook, but that's OK.
- Robert Scoble
Good to hear. Unfortunately I think Facebook are going to download the brains of all FriendFeed staff then kill FF.
- Michael McGimpsey
but Paul it is going to disappear - Facebook bought FF not for the site but for you guys. So obviously once its integrated into Facebook, development on FF will stop
- Anthony Feint
If FriendFeed and all of it's functionality get integrated into Facebook I'm all for it.
- Hugh Isaacs II
Paul - that's great news. It surely can't cost a lot to keep this place running and it's a good place to try out ideas before they move to FB.
- Martin Bryant
what about improving the product and making sure it gets more users, not only supports those who stay?
- Ihar Mahaniok
Ihar - unlikely. Facebook bought FF for the developer talent, not for FriendFeed itself.

from iPhone
Martin - I also think so, and it is most likely. But I could still have a hope

FriendFeed is Dead! Long Live FriendFeed! (nice name for Facebook skunkworks) I'm sure everyone would love to see FriendFeed itself stay around, even if the innovations that happen are geared towards implementation at Facebook. Thanks for this note Paul! :)
- guruvan (Rob Nelson)
There are a few promises and guarantees that you SHOULD be able to provide. Like, that our network of friends will remain intact and that the features that make this site great will remain. If you can't make those promises, then you shouldn't have done the deal. I sure do hope that the real-time search engine wasn't the centerpiece of this deal (it probably was), because that certainly...

Paul you did such a nice job with friendfeed, and I so want to believe you, but I'm not sure I can. Not because of you, but because of your new employer. Because your new employer is no longer you, and while I have kind of come to trust you, I do not trust your new boss. Not at all. Please prove me wrong, if they'll let you.
- Vicarbott
Paul - thanks for that reassurance. PLEASE stick to that! I was in the middle of reading and participating in a lengthy discussion off of a Robert Scoble post yesterday ... then I came up for air and saw your news. +1 Fossil Huntress The partitioning of the networks between friendfeed and facebook was a major feature that many people made use of, lacking appropriate controls for who sees what. Merging the two groups of friends isn't going to work, at all.

we all know what needs to happen. the question is, where? ... FB needs, - apart from being/it is, a large, general, open application platform, - 1. Smart keyboard shortkatze - and Im a kbsCzar to go to, 2. Aggregating facilities, smart /RSS/ .. 3. Full blogging facilities, capabilities, not 140 chars. 4. and let me add second, obvious, "Facebook needs" - Friendfeed bookmarklet, and Friendfeed tools - widgets, embedding - real time and not - of posts, and groups ...to embedd, to inject oneself into this thing called Internet ..... so, if FB listens to FF engineering long enough, they are going to get it .. right
- pb:
Paul, what I am worried is not that you're brainwashed, but that there's simply no business need for Facebook to improve FriendFeed from now on, period.
- Ihar Mahaniok
I have confidence Paul. While some of the comments were probably uncalled for, covering an investment (of time and money) in these times to move on and hopefully provide even 'better stuff' makes sense to me. It's pretty obvious there are a LOT of people that don't want to 'lose' Friendfeed. (I wouldn't hold a town hall for a few weeks though :)
- Charlie Anzman
Congrats, Paul. It's sad that people have to make these uncalled for hatred comments about Facebook though. Why can't both sites work together. I think Facebook will do better with FF and vise versa. Take the good features of both services. Don't boycott FB, enjoy it. I'm sick of the negative comments going on, that's all. :(

you mean this is out of date already?
- Lindy Asimus
It was out of date immediately. But if there is interest from the community and others, I can bring it up to date. (There are many pieces which still are valid, but FriendFeed innovates quickly)
- Louis Gray
I do. On first glance, in its current form, it looks exactly like what could actually be the catalyst for me to actually use FriendFeed. Updated, would probably seal the deal.... Now I just need to find the time to read it thoroughly. Hmmm...
- Joel Strellner
I notice a lot of people I know on Twitter and other networks not yet on Friendfeed. This is a very handy document. Update would be very good.
- Lindy Asimus
Twitter is getting so popular in these day but i think most people dunno about the advantages of friendfeed. For me it's Twitter 2.0 and i think you would help a lot of users with it. I also believe in the power of free, even though i would definitely pay for it. Like Joel Strellner said, seal the deal and make more people understand friendfeed.
- Sascha Pallenberg
FF is powerful, major adoption is yet to come!

great piece of work Life's Good with Louis Gray
- Thomas Power
This is great! I'll pay $5 for the updated version, but you might be able to sell twice as much copies by making it $2.
- Masatake E. Hori
Masatake E. Hori - Twice as many sales at $2, or half the sales at $5; I vote for half as many sales at $5, He'd make more money for less hassle. ;-)
- Joel Strellner
50% price cut would probably result in a lot higher sales than twice as many. Check out Jeff Atwood's blog article about price points. http://www.codinghorror.com/blog... - "50% sale = 320% increase in sales"

There is still going to be a certain portion of purchases from the current FF community, even if it is just to show support for this type of work and Louis. Same reason why FF'ers purchase FF t-shirts etc.

Wow, great stuff. I didn't know if its existence before. Rather than updating this all by yourself, wouldn't it be better to turn this into a community-maintained wiki?
- Meryn Stol
Louis: its a very good source thanks. Do you think it makes sense to make this guide like a FriendFeed Wiki so anyone can contribute and changes adopted easily ? Or its not worth it ?
- Jacque
Quick comments: I worked on this at the beginning of the year and would have issued it much earlier, had the planned site revamp not been coming. Part of the reason for its length is that I wanted to be comprehensive, I tend to write a lot, and I included tons of screenshots. Also - the intended audience is not necessarily us, but those who know of FriendFeed, but need a boost.
- Louis Gray
Guidance I received while making this earlier this year was to not give it away for free, and I understand the opportunity for some premium content. As this is antiquated, there is no harm in having it out there for free, but I would make the next one very inexpensive so it gets in the most hands as possible. (Based on this response, I think you guys see value in revamping?)
- Louis Gray
Jacque, if anybody else wants to start a how-to Wiki for FriendFeed, that's great, but I still think you need resource guides that are easily consumable.
- Louis Gray
Louis, first off, I love the drewscancer shirt. Second I think you should update it. I wouldn't charge more than $5 but you could also ask for donations. Just an idea. Great book though.
- Seth Goldstein
I would not buy it but I would download this one and read comments on the new one 8)
- Ru Viljoen
Yes Louis we do need a much more detailed version even though this edition is excellent. If FF is Twitter 2.0 which I agree it is then few people (100k max worldwide) have even realised this yet. Linkedin and Facebook are fading away into general background noise like Yellow Pages. You know it's there but so what.
- Thomas Power
Only half way through it and already found some very useful tips.
- Silver Hage
DEFINITELY YES! I would buy it! I have been on FF awhile and I still am not using it productively - same with LazyFeed- I love both of them but forget them. I have a Seesmic Desktop App - can we talk Loic into adding FF to it? that way it is in my face!
- Robyn Hawk
I now understand how to use the hide functionality better thx.
- Ru Viljoen
I was wondering about this project, Louis :) I think there is value in updating it some and offering it at a very reasonable cost for those who plan a foray into FF - haven't seen much else out there in way of explaining the tool, etc.
- Valeria Maltoni
Are you trying to prove Scoble's point? Why does FriendFeed need a 61 page manual?! :P
- Tim Hoeck
This could be done in 6 pages. But it can be done better, with screenshots, in 60.
- Louis Gray
Make sure Scoble is happy with the UI instructions. :)
- Roberto Bonini
from iPhone
Roberto, I am not too concerned about Scoble being frustrated today. He is making a point and FriendFeed has a good track record of listening. They have an interesting issue where their product has many different functionalities in a world when people are used to not having choices.
- Louis Gray
Robert also knows that by complaining, it gives naysayers a good reason or excuse for why they are not here. It's not an issue with PR but picking your battles and stage.
- Louis Gray
Fantastic. There are tons of hidden gems in Friendfeed that most people don't know about. If they did, they'd be hooked for life. I do like Meryn's suggestion to make a wiki type section like this.

Louis - why not a video - better than a PDF.
- Liza + = ?
I wouldn't be able to pay but I support the update wholeheartedly.

I was considering writing my own book, very complete & thorough, taking people from total newbie to power user, and including enough info that even current power users might get something from it. I had also planned on releasing it for free, CC-BY-NC-SA
- April
Louis - Think book (you read that right) targeting NEW users if you wish to profit from this (with free online updates as things change). Most people still won't pay for an e-book .... and there's still plenty of (smart) people roaming Borders, B&N etc (and the online book stores, not exclusive of Amazon). That was my target, just got real busy here with other stuff.
- Charlie Anzman
Great work! I have sent a small payment via PayPal. Please inform when you are ready with the updated version and I will send you some more money. All the Best, Martin.
- Martin Lindeskog
Jon, I'm guessing it's the difference between sharing something on your own feed (as we re-share on FF) and liking it on someone else's feed (as on FF). However, at the moment Google Reader's Like doesn't have much purpose... something I'm hoping Google will address.
- Ahsan Ali
That's very interesting, but a major difference from FF is that GR doesn't have the ability to share new stuff from a bookmarklet, e-mail and such.
- Uche Ogbuji
Uche, actually, GR does have a bookmarklet: the inappropriately named "Note in Reader" :) With the addition of PubSubHubbub support today, I think Google Reader is on the right path.
- Ahsan Ali
OK, so that's even more interesting. Thanks.
- Uche Ogbuji
Yup, 2.0. It was all downhill from there. For some reason that's still the fastest C compiler I've ever used, even though it was running on a 25 MHz 386.
- Paul Buchheit
Wow this is close to when I got Turbo C++ 1.0, maybe? ~1992.
- Michael Herf
In 1989 I was entrusted with the first Mac-port of MicroEmacs 3.9e source code (compiled with Aztec C) by a guy who just got hired by Microsoft, and later rose to become one of their division managers (Hi Earle!). It fit on a floppy, but was a dog to download at 1200 baud.
- ianf ⌘
Paul, do you ever throw stuff away? :-)
- Todd Hoff
I have the very same disks. I was recently reminiscing about them and my inability to throw away tech detritus on SuperUser (http://superuser.com/questio...).
- Tom Horn
Turbo C 2.0 was pretty much the pinnacle of C compiler speed. Everything from then on was slower because they keep on adding features. The whole Turbo C is probably smaller than a typical C++ STL Hello World program.
- Gabe
Did ya play it till your fingers bled? :)
- Patrick Jordan
It was `95 for me, my friend gave me Borland C++ 5.5 and the "Problem Solving and Abstraction in C++" book
- Cornelius Toole
I bought Modula-2 for the Amiga in the late 80's and had no clue what I was doing.
- Rodfather
I had a somewhat irrational dislike of C back then. So I did Pascal.
- Wirehead
I stuck with BASIC variations forever... GFA Basic, AmigaBASIC, STOS, AMOS... until I bought a "Learn C Programming" book around '92. That put me off code entirely. :D
- Roger Benningfield
I remember the Turbo C debugger was the first proper IDE I used. That DOS GUI create watches on variables blew my mind. My first departure from printf debugging.
- Tom Horn
Borland may not have invented the IDE, but as far as I'm concerned they perfected it.
- Gabe
Wow, Turbo Assembler, C++ Framework!! Somewhere I've both on the original Borland box :-)
- Luca Perugini
from iPhone
I had the same, might still have them tucked somewhere...
- Amit Morson
KA0GQI. I never made it past Technician.
- DGentry
Ah, good old Turbo C (Turbo Pascal was good too). I'd have to disagree slightly that it was all downhill after 2.0 -- I thought it was a great product up through 3.1. But they took a serious nosedive in the 4.x period, with the switch to Windows. After that it was all Watcom for me, at least for DOS/Windows games. The tools were ugly, but they worked really well.
- Joel Webber
If I recall, those are writable, too. There's tape over the edge.
- Jesse Stay
And KC5PZP here - I'm General class, passed 13wpm back when it was required
- Jesse Stay
haha hamfest! i used to get software there all the time when i went with my dad! (he's a HAM)
- andy brudtkuhl
1995 National Field Day winners here :-)
- Jesse Stay
Jesse - Wondering if one geekdom goes with the other. Passed General class back when you had to appear in person in the NYC Fed Bldg. I was 11 .... Big guy with a cigar watched if you were cheating :) Memories. Baskind ... Why am I not surprised. Think we were separated at birth or something ... what's next??
- Charlie Anzman
I was the Rochester, NY hamfest. I was never a ham though -- we just went for the tech flea market. I always loved overhearing conversations where people referred to each other by their call sign (e.g. "I just had lunch with WA2AAB and KA0GQI"). I guess it was kind of like Twitter ;)
- Paul Buchheit
i remember turbo C. What is wrong with me.
- anna sauce
Were you part of the old RTI/Apache clique?
- anna sauce
I paid much more for ordering Turbo C 1.0 - but it was so exciting to use a real programming language.
- Oliver Bouchard
Those were good days and investment as well.
- James Stratford
'92? seriously? I was at high school running a pirate ftp site out of my dorm room (ethernet baby!) ME and a buddy were hacking up our own version of dikumud running on the schools sun "server". I don't know when I got my first C compiler, but it must have been < 1990. I remember it came on a disk in a "Teach yourself C" book. Good times.
- Joe Beda
Joe, this was my "first real C compiler" because I first tried to learn C by downloading some freeware C compiler from a FidoNet BBS along with a "learn C" text file (I was very cheap). The problem is that the compiler was not complete, so half the things in the "learn C" text file didn't compile. C was my first language (I never did Basic or any of that), so I was also learning to program, not just learning C. Needless to say, it was difficult.
- Paul Buchheit
Paul, exactly - Ham Radio was the original "microblogging" network. Not only were we required to keep our messages short, we couldn't use a real alphabet. Imagine if Twitter were all Morse Code. :-)
- Jesse Stay
Hams!!!!! Funny, I just saw this and earlier today I posted a pic of my dad with his gear. http://ff.im/5CH8z He (and many others) is disappointed that learning morse code is no longer required.
- Katy S
BTW Paul: those aren't low-density floppies. If those are 360k, they are double-density floppies. Regular low-density floppies held either 160k or 180k depending on whether they were 8 or 9 sectors per track.
- Gabe
13 years late to the party (1969), I started using C in 1982. Started with Fortran, 6502 machine language (e.g. assembly language without the compiler), Basic, Cobol. Most of my "coding" is in Excel & HTML these days.
- Mitchell Tsai
I had those 'Turbo-C' compiler 5.25" floppies too, Paul! Aw.. souvenirs..
- Thierry R. Andriamirado
Yes, Turbo-C rocked! Turbo-C++ too. And Turbo-Pascal was a revelation! (at least for me: changed my life ;-))
- Thierry R. Andriamirado
from email
I used Turbo Pascal. My first C compiler was THINK C (on the Macintosh).
- DGentry
It'll be funny if this 2009 thread bounces to the top ... Just did a search for my own call sign to be sure it was current .... Paul ... I remember the Rochester Hamfest well .... but I don't remember doing lunch? :)
- Charlie Anzman
Karen and I decided sharing a desk drove both of us crazy... Pic of my new desk is below. No paper, no inbox, and small enough to discourage accumulation of stuff. Perfect :)
I give it 2 weeks and you'll have papers and crap piled next to it :P
- Johnny
This just means the piling is going to be oriented vertically.
- The Fat Oracle
I stopped accumulating much stuff on my desk long ago. If anything sits there too long, I eventually get sick of looking at it and throw it away (or recycle, as appropriate). My next goal is to stop accumulating crap on my machine as well, so I could drop it into a vat of acid, get a new one, and be back up and running within a day or so :)
- Joel Webber
No, I just use the Linux box, and my laptop is just there for iTunes (which is streaming to our stereo with an AiPort Express and AirTunes)
- Bret Taylor
I see. I have a similar setup, with windows 7 on a Thinkpad and share my keyboard/mouse with Synergy and it works really nice.
- Vlado Handziski
No that wants to stay married should ever share a desk. Even my mom and dad, in their 80's, each had their own desk and computer. Looks good, Bret!
- Sheila Taylor
I like the nice simple set up.Unfortunately I think you might regret it as your legs will fall asleep often with your wife sitting on your lap. You might think about getting her a stool for the corner by the light.
- Brady
Everything looks nice at first but the question is for how long? ;)
- Ashish
