I must agree it did get interesting after the other 2 left and it was loren, robert and steve
- Eran Even-Kesef
Saw the last part of the rerun. I do concede that Loren and Scoble debating the legitimacy of Twitter as a news source, etc. was more entertaining than Loren pimping his conference. However, it would have been nice to get a sanity check from someone like Dan Farber too.

TortoiseSVN for me, coupled with command line SVN, lots of scripts, hooks and Trac.
- Andy Murdoch
I'm a sucker for the command line, but the team here uses subclipse -- we also do asset management with SVN, and those folks use Tortoise
- Joe Rosenblum
Hmm, friendfeeders are ++TortoiseSVN, but I haven't experimented with it yet. I use emacs plus the command line when I'm deploying/debugging on the server, but Eclipse seems like a warmier, fuzzier development environment in general.

Have you decided what an acceptable lag time is? Real-time is not a true measurable term, but latency in ms or secs certainly is.
- Clifford Kennedy
Mel: about the acceptable lag in a phone call would be realtime
- Christian Burns
It varies (widely). I've seen everything from sub second to an hour delayed. Typical seems to be somewhere around 6 seconds.
- Brian Roy
3 seconds is realtime, 12 seconds is not realtime :)
- Christian Burns
Cmon now... this isn't voice and we shouldn't measure "real-time" by that standard. There should however be some standard acceptable delay that = real time.
- Brian Roy
I received it character-by-character as Steve typed it.
- Kurt Hurtado
Steve, you gotta get us all on skype so we have proof. :-)
- Robert Scoble
The lag from Facebook to FriendFeed = 'real time slow'
- Benjamin Taylor
Benjamin: thats why everything should flow down from friendfeed for optimal realtime goodness
- Christian Burns
So this was a real time update from ...? trying to test ....? Just a bit confused here.
- Malcolm Bastien
just tweeted and it appeared on friendfeed before twhirl confirmed it sent. That's pretty fast.
- Rahul Das
Malcolm: Back in the days when twitter had Track, Steve broke it by pushing everyone to use it. As a result the most "tracked" term on twitter incurred a huge lag time and they shut it down because they could not scale it. Steve was seeing if http://search.twitter.com/search... is realtime yet.
