OK, this S+B interview with Rakesh Khurana is the kind of serious critique of #MBA education we need. http://williamjholstein.com/node...
Don't be a fool! ;-) On April 1, start my free #gamification13 course on using game design to solve problems. https://www.coursera.org/course...
RT @haroldfeld: Problem of spectrum auctions is that we are now creating scarcity deliberately. This is absurd. Coase never endorsed such an approach.
Me too! I'll do another conference when I can again create one I'd want to attend. RT @gapingvoid: @kwerb I miss Supernova. Boo.
RT @adamwerbach: RT @ClimateDesk: Our flowchart helps best your climate-denying aunt (or grandfather etc): http://www.slate.com/article...
Next session of my #gamification13 massive online course starts April 1. Please sign up and spread the word! https://www.coursera.org/course...
*One* real purpose. Not for the teachers, for example. RT @bonstewart: i still think the real purpose of xMOOCs=brand consolidation
Unless you snore in one of the webcam-proctored exams! RT @sivavaid: In a MOOC, no one can hear you snore.
RT @melaniemcbride: since the adoption of MOOCs is led not by pedagogical efficacy but bottom lines, shouldn't we be putting some energy into an alt vision?
RT @swarthmoreburke: @melaniemcbride We're doing what journalists did: not really understanding our own economics and underestimating the technology.
I'm thinking about how to improve the experience in session #2 of my #gamification13 MOOC. Ideas welcome. https://www.coursera.org/course...
We saw in K-12 what happens if those who diagnose the problem don't understand the law of unintended consequences. Coming now to higher ed.
E.g., if Open Courseware and Coursera really were equal to what we teach in business school, why would we be giving that away?
Too bad sloppy thinking like this by @DaleJStephens gets press. It undermines the legitimate critiques of biz school. http://online.wsj.com/article...
Thank you! RT @damoslim: @CSPFea1 I can heartily recommend @kwerb ‘s @coursera course on Gamification - restarting April 1!
RT @open_spectrum: @kwerb When Kevin Kelly was editor of Whole Earth Review, his guidance to the staff was "follow the fun - that's where the future begins."
RT @audreywatters: "what happens when we 'hack education' in such a way that our public institutions are dismantled?" http://hackeducation.com/2013...
Happiness lesson of the day: Life is too important to take for granted. Always remain surprised that you wound up where you did... so far.
RT @AndrewNebus: @kwerb Is the example I cite of an excellent MOOC; Your subject matter should be required for other professors using the format!
Well, if you're not worried, you're likely to get MOOCed! RT @samplereality: Until MOOC is used as a verb, I'm not worried.
I was thinking more cowbell. RT @Penn: It will be more awesome. MT @kwerb: Wondering what will change in 2nd run of my gamification MOOC
Thanks! #gamification12 RT @eitelyawhat: @kwerb yeah it was an excellent, thoughtful class
RT @peterichmond: @kwerb I wouldn't change much. IMO, it was a blueprint for doing it well. Still, you want to keep pushing yourself (and us!)
Wondering what will change in the 2nd run through my gamification MOOC. Feels far less scary with 1 under my belt! https://www.coursera.org/course...
I just linked a piece on TED, gamification, and saving the planet. Why haven't @ibogost @umairh @sivavaid griped yet? http://mashable.com/2013...
RT @42Terabytes: Al Gore #Gamifies the Climate Change Conversation - http://mashable.com/2013...
This is what MOOCs kill first. MT @jacremes: University of Phoenix headed toward accreditation probation. http://investorplace.com/2013...
You all know what 13,337 is a special number, right? Hint: its derivative of 1,337.
RT @fashpo: @kwerb I'm using your course as a best practice example for colleagues at my university who are planning on developing a Coursera course.
