"@twitter-24782659:disqus thanks for sharing that. I reviewed my post and confirmed that I didn't make any reference to the terracotta warriors built to protect the First Emperor's tomb -- just that they were found surrounding the tomb."

"@Coxymoney:disqus totally get where you're coming at and appreciate your feedback and what you're saying. We actually did startups across various geographies because our people are spread out and know those regions better than a single individual (plus, that list could be rather lengthy otherwise). For the list above, I concentrated on the West Coast and picked out companies that are based in the region, not that they have appeal to just SF or anything like that. I think your idea of a "10 startups to look out for in 2013" is a great idea and will definitely look into that. It could be rather interesting..."

"Hi @Coxymoney:disqus -- appreciate the feedback. I totally understand what you're saying, but my intent here was to show that these one-city startups like Lyft and Postmates should be looked at because of their plans to expand beyond their initial city. It was my hope to focus on the fact that they're evolving into a better model that would service more people."

"Hi Jack, thanks for that link. It was an oversight. I originally linked to The Verge story, but have changed it to be attributed to you. Apologies for the inconvenience."

"I don't think this should dissuade startups from trying out new things. After all, if the fear about having someone come in and "steamroll" them was prevelant, then we would never have any innovation or the creation of many services that we have. If anything, it should probably encourage the startups to always be at the top of their game and to constantly get their stuff out there and iterate so that it's better than anything Twitter, Facebook, Google, Apple, Salesforce, or any other large company can do -- until they acquire the startup. :)"

"@disqus_XweOPjIqMr:disqus thanks for that correction. I'm afraid that was a change that I didn't save previously, but it has now been corrected. Appreciate your feedback."

"Hi Kristaps, thanks for your comment and appreciate the feedback. When I made the reference to Google AdWords, I was alluding more to the bidding process, not specifically to any comparison to device and download history. What I see RevMob having is a system where advertisers can bid (similar to Google AdWords) to have their ads featured on devices -- they are placed based on targeting such as device, location, history, etc, according to the company. As for the other corrections you suggested, those changes will be made. Thanks for pointing them out."
