@willmcjunkin I think the public funded nature of NPR puts them in a spot where they invite criticism, so they have to walk a fine line.
@trianglman The forum for this is appropriate. Giving speeches overseas criticizing the commander in chief or the US is inappropriate.

@trianglman I personally think it is wrong for politicians to badmouth US while overseas. But a conference is supposed to have negotiations.
@trianglman I don't know enough about Inhofe's trip--I'll withhold judgment until I hear him speak. But it's not a moral equivalent.
@trianglman Didn't Obama go to Germany to slam American policy before elected? Those are just a few off the top of my head... Oh, and Kerry!
