"Hi Sindikat, Thanks for addressing my comment and I couldn't agree more. Additionally, I'm not sure my above comment is much at odds with what you just stated. Maybe I'm dense but and I'm not understanding what you're getting at. I completely understand the concept of micro-anarchy and macro-anarchy outlined in the first paragraph. And in your second paragraph I can't disagree that the State, and political figures who back the State, can and do use pseudo-liberty to garner adherents. Case in point is the current Tea Party Movement here in the US. They scream for Libertarianism yet in the same breath advocate for some of the most draconian immigration laws, anti-gay legislation and axing social safety net programs when the working poor need them most. Are you saying there are problems with being a visionary?"

"Bow and grovel in awe at the foot of your god! Pathetic. Led along like the lamb you are. You feel that's a virtue? All authority is my dire enemy including preachers, priests and those who bow before it."

"I've been contemplating non-participation and I couldn't have expressed it better. Would you think it'd be a frightening, bloody mess if and when non-participation reached a critical mass delegitimizing the state?"

"My position is irrelevant. My question was whether society at large is influenced by their religious views as concerns their relationship with authority and hierarchy pertaining to the state."

"You're *telling* me *who* has authority. Don't you think that's what priests do!? *You* are acting the **authority** figure by speaking for God!"

"And who's stereotyping? And are you purposefully derailing this thread? "...wherein Jesus teaches that no man has authority, only God?" I rest my case. Thank you for proving my point for me."

"No, just an honest question. I think we can trace the decline in temporal influence of organized religion with increased secularism and skepticism is all. Yes, we don't have god-kings these days but politicians still sure like to claim divine right and mandate. And because the bible (and just about any other religious text) is based in bronze age mythology I can't help but think that that molds peoples ideas about their relationship with authority."

"However, going as far back as the god-kings of Egypt religion demands fealty, obedience and submission from the priests, divinely anointed and especially to the deities. I don't think it's too much to wonder if humanity's fascination and fixation with religion somehow skews our view of authority."
