Dear online grad school application thingy, please don't tell me I can submit a letter of recommendation for somebody as "either a Word 2007 document or a PDF file" if all you'll accept when I go to upload it is PDF.

Well, Word 07 docs can be saved as pdfs, so they must be the same, right?

its possible they mean it will take .docx vs .doc...although why they would do that I don't know
