Custodian just told us that living in an apartment complex with an elevator can "make you sorry."

I can believe that, if people treat residential elevators they way they treat, say, public library elevators. They are combination waste baskets, toilets and thrill rides (that last may be because our maintenance schedule is less than it should be due to $$$).
