Fwd: Best find from my visit to the new New Seasons (local WF-type store). I haven't been able to find these anywhere in aaaaaaages. <3 (via http://ff.im/Oolpq)
Hello librarian friends. Is the word "promptuary" dead? Has it been completely replaced by its Google synonym? Or can we use it still? I'm starting to wonder if we need to compile a dying/dead library-word list.
I don't recall ever having heard or seen the word before now, and had to look it up.

Does anyone have a small collection manager they like better than LibraryThing? I'm making a recreational reading collection that won't be integrated into our main catalog - trying to decide how I want to organize it. So far I only have about 20 books, but am taking donations, so we'll see...
Good Reads is good tool for that (http://www.goodreads.com/)
