For myself, I usually only comment on Twitter when it's something that isn't coming on FriendFeed .. because if it's on FriendFeed i'm more likely to comment. The Conversation is more visible i guess here. - Stu Andrews via twhirl

Once Twitter shut down GTalk integration, Twitter lost a lot of appeal for me. GTalk made it easy, there was a constant flow of thing streaming by, and if I was busy with something else, it was easy to find where I had stopped reading in Pidgin, and scan through it all. The Twitter clients just don't offer the ease of use I want, sure they have lots of features, none of which I use. Bring back GTalk, and conversations will pick up again. - Shawn Kirsch

I don't think they were trying to blame top users, they were just saying that is the reason it's down. Obviously, twitter should have planned for users have large followings and tweeting everyone, but they didn't. So now, people who do have a large following are slowing down the site. As social media industry member I cannot imagine you recommending to someone to hide from yourself the criticism of what other people are saying about you, your brand, our your company!
