@scarboroughdude - Just last week I had to tell the 1-800-COMCAST folks that on my BlackBerry I haven't a clue how to dial "keypad" letters
@danklass Heck, I remember telephone exchanges - the ones with words, I mean. Grew up with Clearbrook-9 myself.
@evo_terra Sorry I missed you. Could have pulled the avg age up a bit. At least I hope you got decent brew.
@bobbyllew Glad to hear you're alive and that the Prius (RIP) did its job well - one small comfort from the whole story for this Prius owner
Looking forward to schlepping to the FedEx depot to pick up a package I haven't had any formal notice about. 2 words, ASUS: Customer Service
@jonnygoldstein Sounds like a good idea. I'll bring it all along.
@evo_terra "Fail" is right! Hope you're quacking now. Am off to parents' place tmmw so will miss tweetup (dang!) - sounds like fun.
@jonnygoldstein Done! (thought I had a conflict with that Monday, but sorted it out.) See you there.
@imnico Hooray! Glad to hear you got there (how's the bike?)

Re: If FailCamp succeeds, is it still FailCamp? - http://www.dangerouslyawesome.com/2008...
"Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Truly an act of guts and vision and no small measure of hope. It was *so good* to hear the voice of human perspective coming from all angles. Let's keep it going! -Linda" - Linda Mills
powerful stuff (http://www.dangerouslyawesome.com/2008...) i did know that you went to this event but i didn't realise how heart on the sleeve it was. super cool. i can imagine it was a very emotional and rewarding event. - tinnion
Re: Throwing down a challenge to PodCamp Philly - http://www.christopherspenn.com/2008...
"Wow, but this challenge would be an even more wonderful idea if you had some Philadelphia people involved in either the planning or execution! To begin, you wouldn't have lost credibility in your exposition by knowing that those two cheesesteak places are there mostly for the tourists, and that unimaginable poverty is everywhere, in everyone's backyard. (And if you think that you actually saw a poor neighborhood the last time you were here, we'll need to do a field trip at some point later.) Regardless, it's a lovely idea, just one that I think you shouldn't limit to the PodCamp in Philadelphia. Why not make it a global effort, and save the carbon footprint guilt by encouraging PodCampPhilly to be a Philadelphia event? To really save the planet, stay home and tend your own garden... that's a no-brainer! When and if you get the chance to get to Philadelphia, though, take a look at who the Mural Arts program is teaching all over the neighborhoods, and what the Pennsylvania Horticultural..." - Linda Mills
i have a faint memory as to a suggestion from a podcaster to make podcamp an event for locals. was it @spin? i forget the motivation, whether it was to let local podcasters make their own way in life or to cut down carbon emissions, i can condone either activity! - tinnion
@valerieinto Happy Canada Day for sure!
Philly peeps, check out this request from @evo_terra: Thinking of a Philly tweetup on Friday. Near 17th & Chestnut. Craftbrew pubs nearby?
@iconjohn Sorta, until Stanley blew her cover. Then he turned on her with some amazingly searing lines - enough to give anyone a breakdown
@davedelaney Hands down - River by Joni Mitchell (will now journey over to link...)
@Glinner I think I replied once. Did that count?... or not? However, no one who knows me would ever consider me quiet. Will try harder.
@HumanRacehorses @iconjohn The role that I remember him best was in Streetcar Named Desire - another film with Brando
@haydenblack Yes, just saw that from @sizemore. What a gem. Abigail can only hope to be working when she gets to that age....
@sizemore Thanks for that news. I doubt it will get much press over on this side of the Atlantic. What a joy she was.
Another thing from our neighbors to the north: IMAX was invented in Canada in 1970. (via @qikipedia)
"The song that most reminds me of Canada, without outwardly being a Canadian song, is River by Joni Mitchell. (It's right up there with my favourite Christmas songs, too, but that's another story.) Cold, ice, skating, singer from Saskatchewan, etc. I think it helps that the Canadian figure skater Toller Cranston is on the album cover, too. So there's that one, and now there's anything that's played on the Six String Nation guitar... -L." - Linda Mills
@evo_terra - How long are you in town? (I'm just catching up on my FriendFeed posts...) /me waves from 5th & Walnut. [and /me adds @ , too]

Happy Canada Day from a Canadian in spirit ... (I might not have a maple leaf on my avatar, but I'm wearing my PAB hat, OK?)
@chrisbrogan Well, I go to PAB.... I'm assuming business trips (five or so 3-days) don't count.
@sgrandmaison He was great. Everyone was wonderful. (I'm a tough sell, too, as you may know.) Missed you very much, but hope 2 C u @ PCMtl
