Leo, Snow Leopard isn't even a good counter to Windows 7. Microsoft has fixed many, if not most, of the problems present in Vista. Apple simply can't watch Microsoft release something exceptional and not have a release of its own. Letting another company eclipse the spotlight would run counter to the Apple culture. - Eric Geller

I like TWiT for the ratholes, because I just like to hear Leo and his guests talk about funny stuff. But I agree with the sentiment that TWiT should be for *tech news*. - Eric Geller
Mark my words: the federal government will NEVER shut down the Internet. Look at the situation where the State Department asked Twitter to hold off on planned maintenance. The feds KNOW how important real-time communication can be for fearful masses. If World War III ever starts, we'll have the Internet, if only because the government knows how vital it is to citizen journalism (tweets from the field, news reports delivered via Skype, etc.). - Eric Geller

TwIP - An IP Stack In a Tweet from Slashdot by timothy Adam Dunkels writes "Inspired by the Twitter-sized program that crashes Mac OS X, I just wrote a really, really rudimentary IP stack called twIP, small enough to fit in a Twitter tweet. Although twIP is very far away from a real IP stack, it can do the first task of any IP stack: respond to pings. The entire source code can be found in this 128-character-long tweet. For those who are interested in low-level network programming, a code walkthrough with instructions on how to run the code under FreeBSD is available here. The FAQ: Q: why? A: for fun." http://bsd.slashdot.org/story... - David Schmidt
