Can I take this to mean, evidence of bricking iPhone directly linked to using iPhone as suggested by apple??
- James Fridley
Rubbish installed apps fine just stop putting 50 apps on the phone
- Nick Brennan
Evidence is mounting that Apple needs to fix it so that iPhoners can install apps directly on their phones w/o risking bricking.

Is that only with 3G Leo? I am using a jailbroken 1st gen with firmware 2.0 and I am installing many apps directly from the App Store on the phone. No problem as of now.
- Dominic Tremblay
This has been my experience as well Leo
- Neil Bakker
I'm useing ipod touch with 2.0 and I can't install or upgrade apps from iTunes.
- Tony Speer
I'm using the 3G and have install plenty through the App Store and SSH without any issues.
- Andrew Trinh
Oddly, my iPhone says there are 4 updates available and my iTunes says I'm up to date - even after syncing.
- Renee Pie
I haven't had any issues so far over the air using 3G. Might be specific to a firmware or model type?
- James Tenniswood
I've only installed apps via appstore on the iphone and have yet to use iTunes and haven't had a single bricking issue. I've probably installed 50+ apps and god knows how many updates

Another reason not to buy an iPhone...I'll stick with Windows Mobile phones like my Q9H, it ain't perfect but it works.
