Well I mean "lots" in like if you asked someone what the most common issue they've seen is

When I deployed laptops as an IT admin, I saw hard drive failure rates of about 5-10% within 6 months of usage. That stayed fairly constant regardless of brand of laptop or hard drive.
- Scoble, Alex Scoble
See that's what I mean. I've had a grand total of 1 hard drive failure in 20 years. And that turned out to be a cheap enclosure not actually the drive. I've Never seen memory fail. But I've seen about 15 graphics cards fail
- Liam M
Ahh...out of hundreds of systems I've seen maybe 2 graphics cards fail, hehe. Not a lot of memory failures either. But if you are in this business long enough you'll see things fail like backplanes that they say never fail, heh.
- Scoble, Alex Scoble
I've eliminated the phrase "never fail" from my vocabulary. If it was made it can fail. Too many support calls where the resolution was replacing something that "never fails"
- Liam M
Oh well. this forces me to semi-unplug for a couple days.... I "GUESS" that's good for me :(
- Liam M
"We haven't had these stupid bags here in Vancouver for almost 20 years. It shocked the hell out of me when I went to Toronto a while back and saw that they were still using them."
- Liam M
"Buried as inaccurate for "Sure, you can do more with a PC" I can do anything on my MBP you can do on a PC I may not be using the exact same software but I can do it."

Although I am an Apple product user for the past 24+ years I think both companies should be reprimanded for coming out with such ads. I think it is always a bad idea to make fun of the competition, no matter how true the points are.

1. Possibly, there were a lot of wierd things surrounding him. 2. I don't think so. 3. I'm not sure that it absolves him, but I think it is possible to just look at who he was before all the trouble began.

I'll answer #1 by saying that he slept in a bed with children behind closed doors. Why isn't that bad enough for people?

I remember my friend throwing out a Milli Vanilli CD after their scandal. His mom asked, "Why? It's still the same music." Pop music is so much about image, and Michael's image wasn't so great until his passing. Now it seems public memory of him will be unsullied. De mortuis nil nisi bonum, I guess.
- aldenoneil
1unknown due to his level of wierdness. 2 who cares aren't a lot of celebs on something or another. 3 no but we can love him as a performer and hate him as a person.
- Liam M
I agree, Gabriel, but it's tough for people to do. I still cringe whenever I hear Gary Glitter's "Rock & Roll, Part 2" played in any sports arena.

My TV's off today so that I don't have to watch the repulsive spectacle in Los Angeles.
- Rob Sterling
1. I have no idea. I find some of his actions questionable, but I find the actions of some of those parents just as questionable, if not more. 2. Once again, I have no idea. 3. If he's guilty of those two, of course it doesn't absolve him. But the same way it doesn't absolve him, those actions also don't take away his pure genius and what he's contributed to music, charities and the world.

I had Marmite when I was in NZ... I wasn't impressed :)
- Tim Hoeck
Tim, Marmite and Vegemite do not taste the same! :-)
- Kate Foy
"He just smiled and gave me a vegemite sandvitch and he said "Do you come from a land down under...""
- Scoble, Alex Scoble
Chris ... flavour. There's another 'something' in there that makes it different ... hard to describe without sounding wanky ... like the difference between one wine and another of the same varietal. :-)
- Kate Foy
Chris, enjoy! I believe a 'new' Vegemite is being planned for release. Not sure what that's going to taste like tho' ... understand it's going to have cream cheese in the mix. Oh, the heresy!
- Kate Foy
And on that note, I'm off to have some Vegemite toast for breakfast. Cheers!

Trying to find a way to record audio playing in OS X (say from MySpace) and export it to MP3. Suggestions? Audacity doesn't work like it does on Windows (my only complaint)...
Way to Alienate the audience you're trying to obtain Murphy-Goode. Epic Fail!

They wouldn't have someone picked, that would be fraud (and is illegal). But corporations always have escape clauses, which backfire very hard on the Interwebs. Just because it's legal doesn't mean its fair. Rule 10 at http://www.areallygoodejob.com/finepri... will push them into an epic fail.

i'd say some geeks gotta pull together & make a rival winery startup... call it smurfy-badde.
