As an Executive Board Member of ALA I'd like to thank all the candidates who take the brave, often exhausting and always generous actions required to run for offices like this. Admiration and a "Cheers!" to all of you! Congratulations also to our Association's new Treasurer Mario Gonzalez and to all the new and returning ALA Councillors that were elected today as well. I have many colleagues who ran, who won and also who weren't elected. Regardless of the outcome you are all admirable for your service and willingness to serve.
