While HDR is most likely the preferred approach for squeezing the last bit of stunning detail and tonal gradation from highlights and shadows, if you havenít prepared your captures for HDR post-processing not all may be lost. There can be an astonishing amount of information hidden in your raw files just waiting to be revealed by the right treatment in Lightroom 2.x or Camera Raw 5.x.

Am using stars to rate my pictures (of course) and color flags to organize pictures for output to a web page. Works for me.

I spent some time playing with the 2.0 beta last weekend. What's your thoughts?
I use it exclusively now. The flow is better now. One caveat: LR 2 is not compatible with LR 2 beta.

And LR 2 beta is not compat with 1.x. That was frustrating to try and work a catalog because I had to reimport.

I love the local adjustments, but 2.0 beta was way to slow for me. I'll have to wait for the official release.

LR 2 beta crashed several times this weekend. I had loaded a program into memory. When I uninstalled it LR ran fine.
