From io9: "Remember those Battlestar Galactica webisodes we were promised before the second half of the show's final season launches January 16? Turns out "webisodes" was sort of a misnomer. They're actually going to air on the Sci Fi Channel during the channel's showing of Pitch Black on January 15. (I guess they're "webisodes" in the sense that a ton of websites, including this one, will be posting them immediately afterwards.) The channel will also air a half-hour special, BSG: Essential Elements, on Sunday, Jan. 11." - Mark Trapp

"Nov. 5 (Bloomberg)-- Barack Obama played above the rim.
He made the difficult look easy. A rookie in a field of veterans, he made the fewest mistakes. He stayed cool when others were impulsive. He took ownership of the word ``change'' and never relinquished it.
He leveraged technology as never before, rewriting the template for campaigns in the digital age. Obama, 47, ended up with millions of volunteers and more than $650 million, the political equivalent of all the money in the world." - Thomas Hawk

From io9: "There are many, many reasons to wish that you'd worked on Sci Fi Channel's Battlestar Galactica: -the critical kudos, the security of being involved in one of television's best SF shows ever, the possibility of being in the same room as Grace Park at some point - but the wrap party's special limited edition yearbook may be the prettiest reason of them all. Is it too much to ask that this tribute to the cast and crew of the show gets some kind of modified general release when the series reaches its conclusion next year?" - Mark Trapp

Also, the floor delegate interviews remind me of the sort of things you'd see outside a rock concert. Reporter: "What did you think of Governor Palin's speech?" From SciFi Wire: "SCI FI Channel is calling "inaccurate" rumors that the second half of Battlestar Galactica's fourth and final season will be delayed and confirmed again that the original series will return with new episodes in January 2009.
Several Web sites, including io9 and Galactica Sitrep, have posted the rumors, reportedly based on comments made by Battlestar cast member Aaron Douglas at Dragon*Con.
The reports are erroneous, the channel confirmed to SCI FI Wire. "It is still slated to return January 2009," a spokesman for the channel said. " - Mark Trapp
