Created by visionary designers FASHION ARCHITECTURE TASTE (aka: “FAT“) especially for inclusion in “From Now to Eternity,” a show exploring the use of plastic that took place during The London Design Festival last month, “Soft Hercules” captures a classical bust of the Greek god in soft “memory foam” rubber that easily molds to the occupant’s nether region when sat upon. In the words of the artists: “‘Soft Hercules’ is a stool cast from foam rubber—the soft squishy stuff that is usually used to make stress balls. The bust of Hercules, usually something solid both in its material and the culture it represents becomes unexpectedly soft, deforming a recognizable object into stranger shapes when it is sat on. I think there's far too much emphasis on whether or not one "makes it" on TechMeme. And zealots who follow TM with every breath and then show up in the comments area to say stupid crap like "why did this make it to TechMeme" need to get a life. Read and subscribe to what's interesting, don't be so focused on "where" it comes from. There is no single golden source on the web. - TDavid

David, Robert generally uses Twitter via IM, in his case using Google Talk so twitters from the folks he follows (or results from tracks) show up in his IM client as a chat with Twitter. I personally don't use it but he swears by it - Shannon Clark
