Phil's is the kind of comment I usually moderate out, because it begets a defensive response. Rather than defend, which if you do it well, results in a zero-sum, you can just remove the offense, which has the same result without the emotional stress. Folks this is a thread that should be trashed. I'm only leaving it here as a demo of the kind of useless BS that passes for discourse. Nothing new, this is what happens on mail lists, and this aspect of FF is just that -- a mail list. The trolls always take over and rule them, unless you use your power to moderate. - Dave Winer
