I'm not talking about some kind of video porn fear... but rather a more social disruption,., that might not take on sexual elements... but surely will be subject to acts of violence. live cameras in fragmented conversation has never been done before. at least on twitter there is some kind of centralizing element of time. but here on ff... time is taken out. a conversation is harder to ignore unless you go to a lot of trouble. - NoahDavidSimon

I see... you are speaking about the length of a communication? I'm not sure that is the important conceptual distinction here when talking about the vast differences between text and video. even on Seesmic a long video is not very efficient anyway. - NoahDavidSimon

what is a more important distinction to me is the dimension of idea development. is it 2d or does it erupt in a more dynamic space? would a video format similar to friendfeed occur in a 3d space where conversations floated around you? like a solar system and you could float into a conversation bubble? - NoahDavidSimon

I don't have any very solid thoughts here. perhaps part of me sees a huge danger... and the other part of me is fascinated by how an interface like this would be done. I would say Seesmic's biggest failure is the flash interface... I would like to see a more dynamic strategy where people could pick the type of interface they want. be it 2d, 3d or streamed with weights like friendfeed - NoahDavidSimon

perhaps an alister would have more gravity in a 3d environment. like a Saturn or a Jupiter. - NoahDavidSimon

time and space would have all kinds of wormholes,,, if a person were looking for stories relating to say "sports" then a customized 3d space would present itself around a person's 3d juxtaposition of friends. - NoahDavidSimon
