Yogurt is kind of astringent as a partner to coffee, isn't it? - Robert Linthicum
why not swap the coffee for milk or orange juice? you want to be healthy and slim, then quit being addicted to drugs! - Mark
nice bowl - Allen Stern
I just find it oddly ironic and slightly offensive that you put out these keep fit videos with tips on being healthy and running and you are a drug user!! quit the coffee - Mark
sorry for the rant, i feel strongly about this. I go to my gym and I walk out the exit and see people smoking and walking to the pub after leaving their gym workout. whats the point in being active if they are smoking after finishing their workout? i hate all drugs :) - Mark
some ppl have issues mixing dairy pdt and coffe, some have not. 2 mugs of coffe a day will not get you loaded! =D - ledretch from twhirl
Mark, it seems you're indicating any food chemical which has an effect on the human brain is a drug. That would include chocolate, turkey, tea, yerba mate from Argentina, and just about any other food that has a memory association for the eater (because it causes an endorphine release just like other 'drugs'). I'm not so sure this is a viable point of view. - FFing Enigma (aka Tina)
Mark, caffeine is addictive, to be sure, but it's lightweight. Two days of headaches, and it's bye-bye monkey. - Robert Linthicum
is it so light weight ? jason calicanus spent weeks blogging about his battle to quit caffeine addiction and the misery it caused him - Mark
"Caffeine addiction"? Is this for real? - William, CPU Media
so I need to stop coffee too? Honestly alcohol + sweets + bread was a lot already... - Loic Le Meur
don't try to quit too many things at once - that's a setup for failure. You're doing fine. - Laura Norvig
Cheerios & Guatemalen coffee - Dave Ploch
"Caffeine addiction"? Sounds like an affliction for SNAGs. - William, CPU Media
I would say you would do yourself a favour quitting/cutting back on the coffee, but cutting out a lot of the other things is a bloody good place to start. When the "cold turkey" of dropping those has passed, then get rid of the coffee.. One step at a time. :) - Rob
Suggestions for replacing coffee? I read milk (what kind?) and orange juice. Any others? - Stagekid
For breakfast I drink one of these: http://www.innocentdrinks.co.uk/our_dri... or just plain semi-skimmed milk from a cow :D - Mark
I regularly give up caffiene for a week or so, but usually get back on the horse after about 7-10 days. This time around I'm on day 9 or so (9 hour timezone shift is making it hard to tell) and feel very good about it. Reading some of these comments I might give it up for longer now! - Nathan McDonald from twhirl
Nothing wrong with coffee once or twice a day in a diet, as long as there's no cream/high fat milk. It's actually excellent as a low calorie, pre-gym, pre-cardio stimulant. - Mo Kargas
Coffee is my last addiction to kick (besides exercise, an addiction I'm keeping). I don't like "needing" anything besides air, water, and food. - Robert Linthicum
breakfast-coffee x2 midmorning snack-coffee lunch-coffee x2 dinner-real food. - Tim Wright
Mark, life is not all or nothing. Calm down a little. - ChiliMac from twhirl
What are we eating today? - NoahDavidSimon
bran flakes and milk for me, and a "double super duper triple whiped mint mocha. Go easy on the ice with 1 3/4 packets of Equal, no whip," thanks! - Mark
