Edge 08 and Rich Mix have organised a fringe festival to concur with the London Jazz Festival. The event features film screenings of Yasuhiko Shirai's 4 Hands about a 'musical encounter' between Yosuke Yamashita and Cecil Taylor in Tokyo, February 2007. "Fighting Spirit" - The artist is known for a series of works that satirizes the state of contemporary society by using methods and elements from Japanese traditional art. He has been focused on the origin and developmental process of traditional techniques and thoughts, and presents them into our age with a hint of irony.
