Yes, definitely close it. It has been documented that fraudsters make one small charge (hoping to remain unnoticed) to validate credit card numbers. And your credit card company already brought this to your attention and you said no; I don't know how this impacts liability (by law, you're only liable for at most $50 of unauthorized charges).

Having been in a similar position before (Didn't get a call from fraud about it, but I noticed an unrecognized charge, didn't report it because I didn't want to get a new card), small charges like that are just to test out the card to see if it'll work, followed by several small charges that'll generally go unrecognized or a big kahuna charge while the card's still usable. It's an inconvenience to get a new card, but it's weighed against the larger inconvenience of being wiped out (at least partially and temporarily) in the event of a fraud.

Yeah, I wouldn't close it until and unless they told me when and where the charge was made.
