Off-Day Thread: Where Do You Get Most of Your Sports News? - http://www.athleticsnation.com/2008...
Yahoo! Sports mostly - Shey
ESPN (TV and online), Yahoo Sports, SF Chronicle, NY Times and Washington Post - Robert Seidman
ESPN, Sporting News, SI, BBC Sports and USA Today Sports Weekly - Sally Church from Alert Thingy
the onion - @baratunde
I need to check out Yahoo Sports. I get a very sad ESPN feed that never posts a story..just "click on the article for more" That's a crappy way to RSS anything! CNN does that crap too. - Mike Lewis from Alert Thingy
I get some stories from Gmail's web clips sometimes as well - Shey
ESPN and i have my yahoo page set to show me top headlines from about 10 different sources. most of it focused on NBA news and blogs - sam b-r
Mike Lewis, sadly the RSS feeds from Yahoo Sports are not full-text either. But both it and ESPN are great sites to browse. - Robert Seidman
Cubs.com RSS, ESPN, Yahoo sports and @baseballinsight on twitter - Greg Hollingsworth from twhirl
Yahoo Sports is good for MLB and NBA but ropey on NFL :( - Sally Church from Alert Thingy
Thanks for the info, Robert. I would love to find a good RSS Sports feed. I just don't read too many sports articles anymore and glancing thru an RSS feed is ideal. - Mike Lewis from Alert Thingy
For MLB, CBS Sportsline. Real time updates of all games in process at http://www.sportsline.com/mlb.... Click on GameCenter links for pitch-by-pitch action of each game. - Robert Stevens
I rely exclusively on a select list of 15 or so blogs (and some Google Alert feeds) - Steve Lynch from Alert Thingy
Yahoo Sports has made leaps and bounds over the last two years and is by far the best source (though I'm biased as a I have a couple of former workmates and friends working there). Always my first source, then I go to Rotoworld for my fantasy teams and ESPN.com once in a while, as well as old workmate Jon's dodgerthoughts.com site. But let me also put in a plug for my brother's site: Baseballgeeks.com. Great one-stop shop for your baseball news. - Chris Reed
And let me add on actual gamedays - especially during the NFL season - Sportsline's gametrackers are by far the best. - Chris Reed
Not so much for me, but the husband lives on ProFootballTalk. If you visit there, tell him I said hi. He only talks to me via Twitter now. - Cyndy
RSS feeds from local newspapers, blogs, and searches - Dave Stanley
If you are looking for NFL news, the place to go (will be) www.ultimatefootballnetwork.com We've still got a lot under construction and will launch closer to football season. - JonathanJoseph
@Chris Better than Jacked.com? (note: haven't tried Jacked for NFL yet) - Steve Lynch from Alert Thingy
Jonathan: Thx will check it out :). Will it do RSS feeds? - Sally Church from Alert Thingy
Radio, primarily Los Angeles radio station AM 570 KLAC, which is semi-affiliated with Fox. - Ontario Emperor
@ Sally We have lots of stuff under development but RSS feeds will be coming for sure. - JonathanJoseph
Also, for college football fanatics http://collegefootball.rivals.com/ is a must. The message boards are great. Not so much for news, but for trash talking. - Robert Stevens
Forgot to mention. I listen to 790theticket, Dan Lebatard in the afternoons. Even though I'm in NYC, this gets me my homegrown fix. I'm still bleeding South Florida. - Dave Stanley
Hmmm. Eight comments at A's Nation. 24 comments on FriendFeed. - Robert Stevens
@Ontario: One thing I miss since moving out of L.A. are the Loose Cannons and I still download occasionally Joe McDonnell's show as a podcast... Mind you, we have FOUR sports stations here in Vegas with some OK hosts but they all pale in comparison to some of the L.A. hosts... - Chris Reed
http://www.fark.com/sports/ is where you'll find the best sport stories throughout the day. AOLFanHouse also will never let the sports fan down with a great compilation of sports news and media. - Ryne Nelson
Sports? What's sports? - Thomas Hawk
It's like Scoble vs. Arrington, only with athletes. ;-) - Robert Seidman
http://sports.yahoo.com/ and sometimes http://ballbug.com/ for baseball and cricinfo for Cricket. - Atul Arora
Yardbarker! - Andrei M. Marinescu
Crap -- just remembered I haven't updated my fantasy baseball team - Shey
Wow. Comments on a sports post. 20 there and 30+ here. Cool. :-) - Louis Gray
ballbug - Morgan from twhirl
ESPN and FOX Sports Latin America (TV) and ole.clarin.com (a local sports newspaper) - Alejandro
andrei, YardBarker is good, but BallHype is the best sports social bookmarking site. The major advantage that YB has, however, is the professional athlete blogs. - Ryne Nelson
ESPN.com, MLB.com and MetsBlog.com. Still hurting that the Mets lost 4 to Atlanta. - Kevin Shannon
sportaphile.com because a) I'm biased towards it and b) the guy who writes it is funny. crass but funny. - EricaJoy
