FriendFeed Offers Twitter A Chance to Play Lifestream - http://www.louisgray.com/live...
I think that'll just create more Twitter noise. I mean, if this comment posted on my Twitter there would be no context for the discussion. I agree that FriendFeed and Twitter need to find a way to play together, but I don't think this is it. I think you make very good points. - Jennifer Leggio
Jennifer: the Twitter post contains a link back to the FriendFeed entry where the comment was made to provide context. (http://twitter.com/bgolub... for instance) - Benjamin Golub
And similarly, the Twitter link for blog entries links back to FriendFeed, rather than the blog's URL itself. So if you're someone who sends blog posts to Twitter with the hope people with click through, there is one more hop. (So, I probably won't do this, in contrast with what I just wrote) - Louis Gray
I have to agree with Jennifer. I've had several folks let me know that the auto-posted stuff is distracting and spammy. So I wonder if the real thing is to make friend feed more of a destination. - Tris Hussey
I am blind, where can I find the options? - Tejas Patel
i'm loving this right now, too bad no one else knows how to use twitter ;) - sam from twhirl
It's a mess in Twitter, especially if Friendfeed comments are reposted too. - Morton Fox
avid Twitter folk can get real protective of the service too, so I expect to see complaints about the new ff.im shortened URLs especially if too many of them start appearing without context. Then again, though, Twitter is often full of random, hard-to-follow 'conversations' anyway, so there's probably no real difference lol - Matt Hooper
It is good that FF has started becoming more two-way. And it need not cause echo as long as folks choose services wisely. - Vijayendra (V-Mo) Mohanty from fftogo
Tejas, go to Account in the upper right - Alejandro
Do you think this makes friendfeed like a ping.fm service? Posting to both where will the conversation stick? - Wayne Sutton
Viewed from the Twitter/SMS perspective it could potentially mean continuing a discussion on the move :¬) Please add Twitter/FF-comment updates plz ;¬D - CannonGod
You can also be direct, for instance @<username> replies from a non related import to Twitter - Joe Dawson
Seems to me that lifestreaming is one of FriendFeed's greatest strengths. Why would they want to export that to another service? They see their future in filtering? - Kevin Gamble
to many twitter followers, this would be spam !! it leaves them a very binary choice - follow/unfollow.. and that's not good... i'm giving it a pass for now.. - manuscrypts
