Agreed Louis. I am still getting new subscriptions on FF ( though not as many as before). FF stays open until the fat lady sings.
- Roberto Bonini
You made very good points, Louis - both why FF has not been surpassed as a solution and why you stating these points is important. Real time has slowed for me in FF so I can actually catch the content and I'm still getting new subscribers. The value I derive from FF is undiminished.

Finding Louis? Is that the sequel to Finding Nemo?
- WorldofHiglet
I so crashed with that not entered big reply, making a post with two OS in virtualization for a screenshot... I'll get back atcha for the usual Disqus thoughtful exercise, I'm not the daily blogger, but I have lots of those ranged comments... my point was with the "even if it's assumed I'm looking denial straight in the face." being an excellent turning for that movie. Finding Louis...

Oh, good. For a moment there I thought we were in trouble.

You're absolutely right. Which is why I'm sticking around, too.

You hit the nail on the head.. that's why I'm staying onboard!!

You won't be .... I will ... (and Windows 7 was my idea ..... :)

If Friendfeed went under, it would have to be immediately reinvented. I'm still not getting why so many people don't yet get Friendfeed.
- Sean McBride
This seems really straightfwd - the 20% time won't be enough to implement new features etc. I think it is just a matter of time until someone builds on top of the FF API with new/addtl features and launches a site (hmmm, "FriendDig"? "DigFeed"?). The functionality is too compelling to waste away

Ah, the "every link is a paid link" moral relativism argument. Mark says "I’ve had a grand total of about five people unfollow me personally because of ads I’ve run in my tweets" but doesn't take into account the people (like me) that choose not to start following him because of in-tweet ads.
- Matt Cutts
The more I use it, the better it gets. Version 1.1 lets you show updates from the last 48/24/12 hours - a big boost for power users like me. :) #iamanadvisor but I liked this tool from the very beginning.

Any product that deals with moving parts may occasionally have issues. Drobo reduces the chance of these issues with its BeyondRAID technology. Sounds like marketing-ese, but many folks, like Thomas Hawk, swear by them. (Disclosure: I know the founder. He used to be a colleague, then boss, and even attended my wedding in '03. I haven't worked with him since 2005)

Well, from the amount of failures Kevin was citing, it sounds like more of a problem than I've had with any consumer raid drives. Maybe it was just a particular model, but it made me think not to get one of their products. They'd have to do more than marketing to win my business, like get a great comparison review against other drives I have had success with (e.g. G-drive)

To give a little context, I *want* to love Drobo. I have two of them and a DroboShare. I've had two basic problems. First, that the DroboShare, while advertising Gigabit Ethernet, is very, very, *very* slow. This is endemic to the product, not just my particular unit. I've talked to Drobo about it and they've admitted the problem and feel bad about it, but aren't in a position to refund...
