Congratulations Bret on achieving all you have with Google, FriendFeed and Facebook. Looking forward to the news of the next journey. We're all proud of you. http://allthingsd.com/2012061...
What Rochelle said. And what Louis Gray said squared.
- John Craft
Pretty interesting development. Curious to see what Bret does next.

The startup I would like to see is a service where I can feed in all of my RSS feeds and things, and people can comment on them, and the most recent comment or like bumps it to the top. To make it marketable, maybe ads on the side of the page can be sold that matches the discussion that people are having. For example, a discussion like this would pull up adds for Google + and Facebook and Ground Coffee. Wait, that is like FriendFeed without the ads.

I cannot stop coming back to watch this, it just makes me happy, happy.

Today, Braden and I ditched the twins and went to the park. With such undivided attention, he got quality swing time. This video makes me dizzy... http://www.youtube.com/watch...
No. I knew he was playing the Drag Racing game I downloaded for him (and Braden) a few weeks ago. I think my CC# session was still live as I had downloaded a 99 cent app earlier.
- Louis Gray
OK, so Louis wins -- because of this post, I broke down and bought a fitbit. Set it up today. I think the out-of-box experience needs work -- very confusing UI. But the product itself is neat. Adding Friends is awful -- the Facebook portion is just "spam all your friends via Facebook" and the e-mail portion is just "spam all your friends via e-mail." There's no way (that I could see) to discover which of your friends is already using it. But the device itself looks great and seems to work well.

FACT: This post seems to be at odds with your blog post from earlier tonight...
- Stephen Mack #TeamMomo
Not really. I burned off a lot of calories from walking 21,000 steps. And I didn't get dinner because I fed the kids and then put Braden down. Somehow I missed it. So I was hungry.

Congratulations Team FriendFeed on today's Facebook IPO. A big milestone on what at this point feels like a long journey. You were ahead of the world and the world is now waking up to many of the things you helped inspire.
And Jim, Ana, Casey, Sanjeev, and Dan!
- Anne Bouey
Yep! I know it was not all-inclusive! But 1000 times, yes.

What Louis said. Creating American wealth through new innovations and ideas. If we can get more of that, we'll all be fine. New servers for everybody!

I would like to title this "Ooops, there was a problem!" :)
- SteVe C
After calling him Paul around here, I find the use of Mr. Buchheit in this article a little uncomfortable. Mr. Buchheit, paging Mr. Buchheit. Mr. Buchheit to the front desk please.
- Eric - seven eleven
Eric, I only find that uncomfortable because I can never remember how to pronounce "Buchheit."

If I share via the Friendfeed bookmarklet that Google+ also has a bookmarklet, does the Web collapse? For those of you asking about it... here you go. - https://developers.google.com/+...
I'd take that risk. Louis, speaking of which I just released a new bookmarking Chrome app that works on..... Wait for it... Google+ AND Friendfeed (and more). http://goldenviewapps.com
- Micah
from FFHound(roid)!
It's actually a pretty good bookmarklet, what I had been waiting for. Outside of personal issues on Google+, I think this is a great move forward for the platform.

The monthly survey, Stephen. I'm probably getting banned for posting this screenshot. :)
- Louis Gray
And that was a question, with just those two choices? I'm talking to the survey team tomorrow if so.
- Stephen Mack #TeamMomo
from iPhone
Stephen, it was a question, which came as a result of my saying I was okay with questions on politics. :) They also had Barack vs Michelle, Barack vs Jon Stewart, Stewart vs Colbert... O'Reilly vs Romney... all in good fun.
- Louis Gray
If I were confronted with the Bachmann-Palin choice in the real world, I would move to another country. Seriously. (Maybe Russia, so I could keep an eye on Palin.)

A coworker is one of the creators of fflick. Happy for him :)
- Tamara
Meant to ask you, Louis - have you run into any of the fflick guys now that you're at Google?
- Nathan Chase
Nathan, not sure. But good question. I'll look.
- Louis Gray
They're probably with the YouTube team - which might be removed a bit from Google-proper. I'm not familiar enough with the lay of the land there at Google HQ to know.
- Nathan Chase
Not sure if they all work in the same place but my excoworker works on the YouTube team in the San Bruno office
