just updated to FUCKing Snow Leopard. My MacBook doesn't boot, power on but with the screen permanently Black! Help please!
Still there? First, DON'T PANIC, I saw a MacBook going completely black (no back light) during the installation process, just don't shut it down (i.e. 10 sec power button down) and wait for the installation to be over, it will reboot and everything will be fine ;) - Marco Fabbri
I suppose the backlight is off but if you watch the screen very carefully you should be able to see "something" with low light in the room. - Marco Fabbri
No Marco. I can't see any light on screen. It seem turned off or in standby. I have googled the problem and tried all things. But nothing. The Snow Leopard has killed by MacBook Pro screen:(! - Simone Lovati from BuddyFeed
The one I saw troubling was also looking not booting, turned off or in standby. You can try this way: take a flashlight, set the room completely dark, then direct the flashlight towards the screen at a very close distance (1-2 cm from the screen, slight bottom-up directed), move the light around the screen, you should be able hopefully to see, spot by spot, something. - Marco Fabbri from email
Thks Marco. I have tried your experiment, display is always dark, I can't see anything. It seem in standby, the led above the close button go from white to grey slowly... - Simone Lovati from iPhone
