Your Neighbor Steve to Your's feed, LSW
Yes, the reports of the "death of FriendFeed" have been greatly exaggerated. But what's our backup plan? Ideally, I'd like to be able to (1) back up my own feed back to day one & from now on; (2) back up the LSW Room; and (3) have a functional meetup point chosen in case Facebook pulls the plug on us without notice. Thoughts?

In case it becomes necessary to evacuate, all staff should meet by the phone booth at the northeast corner of the building.

I also recommend stockpiling non-perishable foodstuffs like canned tuna and bottled water. And extra socks.

Steve, I'm not sure I've seen anything that comes close to doing what Friendfeed does with the interactive conversation and easy sharing of materials. Wikis pop into mind, but those aren't as easy to use as FriendFeed is

Well, a shelter just has to be good enough until a new building goes up. So the LSW site and wiki would serve- ?

http://backupify.com/ but it doesn't do Friendfeed. Or you could pull in an RSS feed each day as a post to your own passworded Wordpress blog

backupify does do FF...it's in the "beta" support area, but they are coming along with it.
