In case lib tech support gets questions about this on Monday. There's some oldish malware out there that messes up domain-name resolution (the system that turns www.example.com into the IP address of its host server). The Feds took over the command-and-control servers but are shutting them down Monday, such that infected computers won't have working DNS.

in this case, it's actually a good thing! and yes, that phraseology is poor.

My first reaction was "Well, dammit, what configuration was I supposed to use then?" :) Thanks, though, this is great to know ahead of time. It will be interesting to see how many people are affected.
