I kind of can't stand it that Jason, Cliff and Ellbeecee, plus Sarah Steiner, are all working in the same place. TOO. MUCH. AWESOME.
Really, I think you all might cause a rift or something. Or a revolution. - marthalib
You should see the awesome from in here. It's blinding. - Jason P
I'm not jealous. Nope, not one bit. [does that sound convincing?] - holly #ravingfangirl from iPhone
This is not going to make you happier, but It is the best workplace ever, filled with awesome people. No kidding. - Sarah Steiner
What I hate is that it wasn't the best workplace ever when I was there. Sarah knows what I mean. I'm glad it's a great place now, though. :) - LB scattered & smothered
*smooch* - ellbeecee
Also, yeah, there are some pretty awesome folks here and I count myself very fortunate to have had the opportunity to come work here. - ellbeecee
I find myself thinking about what it would take to create other Librarylands of Awesome elsewhere :) - marthalib
D;s count shall be 3, no, 5! (which makes me wonder: What is your favorite color? Blue. No, Yellow! *aigh!*) - awd
now, I of course want to know what all the snarky reactions are :) you tease - marthalib
I would just like to say that it can't be the most awesome, because me + warmaiden is a lot of awesome at UTC. And nearly everyone else here is more awesome than me, so you do the math. - Jason Griffey
awd, nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition! - DJF
Okay, to be more clear, I wonder what I & my colleagues can do to help make MPOW work mucho awesome (even more so than it is now). Obviously, there are lots of Librarylands of Awesome already. :) - marthalib
:-P That's a really good question! I know why I'm here...why have so many awesome people congregated in Atlanta? - Jason Griffey
Well, UTC didn't want me a year ago, Jason :p Ok, seriously...there were a lot of reasons that went into my decision to come here (GSU specifically, Atlanta generally) and I should write up the things that stood out for me as big selling points - both when I was thinking about applying and when I got the offer, because each point had different things that stood out. Hopefully tonight I can pull that together. - ellbeecee
One of these days I'm going to have to make a Nashville->Chattanooga->Atlanta librarian-visiting trip. - Rachel Walden
Ok, and I know there was more to the decision, but I finally remembered to hit publish on this draft I've had going since Wednesday evening, so this is what you're going to get: http://ellbeecee.com/2010... - ellbeecee
Holly & I will start a Libraryland of Awesome in the Portland area. - Laura H.
Whoa, Laura, that's the only time the Dean has come to your presentation? That speaks really poorly of other Deans (I will note that my Dean has come to every candidate presentation that I can remember - on top of meeting with each of them separately). - Laura H.
Ah, Laura points out a phrase that's unclear: I've had one other dean/director actually come to a presentation - but no others ever asked me questions related to my presentation. - ellbeecee
thanks for sharing this! - marthalib
