Our library dean died today after contending with brain cancer for a year. It hasn't really hit me yet. I'm sad that there won't be a memorial service, per his request, I guess.

I gather we are going establish a memorial garden outside the library, so that will be nice. Maybe we will have some sort of gathering then.
