In lieu of a pep talk, how about you just tell me what's good in your work these days?
I've got a lot of hope. (Wow, that sounds cheesy.) - kendrak

My department's getting ready to move back into our offices after getting new paint and carpet. We've used the move as an opportunity to surplus old and unused equipment and to rearrange some things, so our space will be quite a lot nicer. - Kirsten
It apparently feels really good to email someone (in this case not a librarian) out of the blue and say "your book really inspired me, and here are some citations of other librarians who are expressing that in their publishing and presenting." Seems to have made his day. :-) - lris
Iris, I didn't realize that Machiavelli was on email. - Steele Lawman

We have a small construction project in our back area that looked like it was going to fly off the rails and get delayed. In the end, it looks like it's all going to happen on time. For those that might know Bill Denton, he's moving to my department and we've had to shuffle things around a bit to make room for him. - John Dupuis

Two of my coworkers gave me a rundown of Fifty Shades of Grey this morning, or at least of much of it as they have read. This veered into a discussion of how willing suspension of disbelief is hard to sustain when the main character has multiple orgasms while losing her virginity. - laura x
(I want to work with Laura's coworkers and attend Steve's retreat.) - Catherine Pellegrino
Uh.....I'll get back to you. - Chelle Chelle Ro Ro
I'm about to meet with the President's assistant so we can get started on our work on the Bicentennial, which is in 2016. I'm psyched. - Jenica
I think we're going to get some new, neat-o resources with end-of-year money, which has re-energized me to do a little additional work on my subject guide. Plus I discovered a new and amazing food truck near MPOW. - Amandadon't
Making progress slowly but surely, and crises are trending downwards in size. Plus, playing with survey software. - Mark Kille

What Rochelle said. - Nikki D.
I'm planning an event involving sno cones, a popcorn maker, therapy dogs, remote controlled drones, and a retired, ridable bomb. - RudĩϐЯaЯïan

Starting a zine collection at mpow. - barbara fister from iPhone
Oooh! Keep us updated please, barbara. - Steele Lawman
Shameless self advertisment , won a ASEAN libarian merit award yesterday. Not that the award really changes anything but it does give the illusion you know what you are doing = more clout to change stuff. - aarontay
