Largest gathering of underpants breaks Guinness Record
November 13 at 10:54 am - via Bookmarklet - Link
"It's World Records Day today and to celebrate 116 people bid for the Largest Gathering of People Wearing Underpants. Members of Pants to Poverty gathered this morning, when 116 bold and nearly-bare people gave passing commuters an eyeful at St Pancras station. Hundreds of other obscure attempts were made across the globe for the fifth installment of the day." - Stupid Blogger (aka Tina) via Bookmarklet
UNDERPANTS!!! - Ladybug Heather
So. when I go to a concert with thousands of people in attendance, only less than 116 of them are wearing underpants? - tehKenny
I think the question is: how many of them are wearing *just* underpants.... - Stupid Blogger (aka Tina)
lol... underpants break - Outsanity
I would have loved to have participated in this, but unfortunately I have the erection frequency of a 8 month old boy. So, I would be more of a distraction than an attraction. *sobs* - Terence Washington
pants is such a great word, wasted on trousers. Here in the UK if something is a bit lame you call it pants. That really doesn't work with the US meaning - Toby Graham
doesn't that seem to be a fairly easy record to break? And I wouldn't mind trying, mind you. - Marko Bon

Wow. And not a good wow, either. Key quote: "Women serving in the military today are more likely to be raped by a fellow soldier than to be killed by enemy fire in Iraq," [Rep. Jane] Harman [D, Calif.] said." - Ladybug Heather
Horrid!! what a disgrace to our country!! enough abuse already! damn! - Susan Beebe
ugh.Seems to show you what testosterone is really good for:making every living thing around you a victim. Its despicable how studies like this show the rampant social disrespect or slide in respect toward women soldiers/officers, and yet there are incremental changes done(very small incremental changes).Sad - Terence Washington
And it's nice to see that our military courts are not interested in bringing the rapists to justice, instead choosing to focus on blaming the victim. - Anika Malone
Preparing to get blasted for this, but I still gotta say it: from a sheer psychological and propensity perspective, criminals would be better suited to most military duties than most civilians. Please note I said most (as in ground forces etc)... - Stupid Blogger (aka Tina)
Unlike, not cool, thanks for the link. - Mike Reynolds
The rules have been ridiculously relaxed over the last 5 years and criminals have been accepted in the military. I don't know if the rise in rapes have anything to do with convicted felons serving in the armed fores, but the culture of the military courts doesn't help the victims. - Anika Malone
@Mike, I know. I wish FriendFeed had a "Thoroughly Loathe" option, to say, "This deserves attention, but I certainly don't LIKE it!" - Ladybug Heather

Smarties are just part of the mix. I believe in giving the kids a choice -- Smarties, Chocolate, Tootsie Pop, and your Dots/Jujyfruit/Mike and Ike. It's a continuum. But based on this, Cyndy, I'd still get egged. I'll put out a salt lick for you. ;) - Jay Tannenbaum

depends what the make-out leads to. If it's just makin' out then some Damien Rice (Cannonball) Bon Iver (Re: Stacks) or Josh Rouse (Under Cold Blue Stars), but if you're heading through makeoutsville on your way to some place grander then I'd recommend Pulse by Ani DiFranco or Running Up That Hill Mashup (Placebo, Pet Shop Boys, and Kate Bush), or Lust by The Raveonettes. And of course Sade is always a good standby. - Andrew Kippen
