So today I drove to the bus stop in East Baltimore, 30 min ride to downtown office, hitched a ride with coworker to go to a staff meeting in the main office 20 min away outside West Baltimore. We got a piece of paper with our new staff assignments and were dismissed. Back in the car to downtown. Does this make sense?

This manager loves to micromanage by email and phone calls. Mail pops up all day ordering us to "handle this by close of day and report back" even though she doesn't know how busy we are. But somehow our group *had* to be at this 5 minute meeting on Monday at 9 AM. AND there's another one scheduled for Friday at 9:30.

She is Certifiable. Friday's meeting is to discuss our upcoming move to a bigger office where we will all be together again and I'm sure the new assignments could have been announced then.

We don't have staff parking downtown so most of us ride the bus, light rail or metro (free for state employees). To get to the main office by car we'd have to find and pay for downtown parking when we go back to work.

The men in our DSS office surprised the women with home-made food today. This is amazing since there are maybe 900 women and 100 men in the building. Also Barry White on the background music. Smooth.
