Stay away from church bell towers in rural Normandy
Don't rent places near church bell towers if you value your sanity. This one "chimes" every half hour, pretending to be Big Ben for some reason. The tune is vaguely similar, but is missing one note which is annoying. Worse, it does not stop during the night and wakes me up at every hour. Otherwise it is quite charming.
