I had a strange dream, if not a premonition that Amy Winehouse had died and I just felt so distraught. I truly want to see her cleaned up, off drugs and sober so much. She's a talented musician and it's just an absolute shame that she is killing herself with all that smack. - David Moore
I went to see SP recently in Mizner Park in Boca Raton, Florida. It was alright. I didn't exactly enjoy it as much as I had hoped, but it was a change of pace that week. Midway through the show, he decided to share a little commentary on the state of rock music stating, "there are a bunch of full sleeves [tattooed posers] just waiting to rock you." Honestly that was the highlight of the entire evening for me. I laughed pretty hard at that remark. :) - David Moore
Northeat?! No, no, no, no, no!! About a month and half ago the net went out in parts of South Florida repeatedly. I called up AT&T after trouble shooting my entire home network to hear people literally yelling in the background in what sounded like panicking as I spoke to the customer service rep. That's not to say that the loud voices were related to the outage, but it's plausible correlation, no? - David Moore
My word! Things are changing faster than most of the world can keep up with. Sometimes I feel like we're blasting forward into the dark in our techno-might with so much reckless abandon--I say this from a universal point of view of mankind. Fists in the air, in the dark. This is my reserved precaution speaking and had to say it somewhere somehow. There had to be some sense of a bittersweet awareness when the atom was split for the first time. But I guess that the risk of discovery is that you take a risk to no matter what by simply moving forward, as it is impossible for man to remain stationary--not because we say we can't but because it is in our nature to explore. And yet being the pessimist that I am, I can't help but end this aimless and circular rant with, "Curiosity killed the cat".
Five minutes later... It's ironic that I would write such an antithetical post being the geek that I am. O_o - David Moore
Oh my gosh i love this new little notebook. I'm not sure that it is being sold in America, but if it is I totally want one! Yeah, it's called the HP Mini Note. *faint* - David Moore
See I've started to wonder if I should add a gentle watermark to photos that I take with my own camera for the very reason mentioned here. And when I "swipe" or "snap" photos with Skitch I always--I think--give credit. - David Moore
This is old news. I read about this in the New York times about three or four months ago. Very cool and experimental. I totally have a respect and love for musicians and composers that just go the avant garde route of music making. makes me re-think how I look at music. - David Moore
"Bret... something which many of us are thinking of... but as you point out impossibly complex to do well, in specific areas of focus it is feasible of course but Data per se... very complicated. I work around the world supporting development of different institutions and countries, if you or others establish a group looking at this let me know... data and effective Information Management is the key to stimulating change and advancement." - David Moore
