I was in Oregon in 1980 with Ron Wyden challenged and defeated an incumbent Democratic Congressman (Duncan Hunter, I think) to get into the House. When posters with Ron's smiling face appeared all over the Reed campus, the students immediately started a "Draw Ronnie" contest (fake mustaches, etc.). I left Oregon before Wyden moved up to the Senate, but he's certainly been a force on the Hill.

i hate to admit that even though i don't like that facebook just copies what other people do (microsoft anyone?) it's becoming more and more difficult to resist using the service when so many people are on it (as opposed to friend feed/twitter...)
